Hopefully they focus on getting ground battles right for now, and focus on adding space battles in for DLC or the sequel.

It could be a case of teams fighting over them instead of 'getting lucky' you know? Similar to the way Halo has/had weapon spawns that teams fought over.

Its identity has already changed and we know that. Fighting over these things is a good thing when its in those games. It was a good thing about Halo. I mean you can complain about changes but at least try not to make it out as if this will make the new Battlefront will be a bad game because of it.

I'm not mad i'm just pointing it out. It isn't near the original like you thought. Given more time it could be almost a 1:1 version, simply the difference is content. This one takes 4-5 mins, PT takes a good while, in some cases hours. This one is just a few mins you know? Its like a demo of the PT demo.
Its a good showcase of the potential of course.
