Casual - Not follow gaming news, only cares about popular well known games etc. Mainstream pass time versus hobbyist - Hardcore gamer. That's what I think anyway.
You don't have to be good at games to be 'hardcore'/ Imo. Hardcore is just the term used to express a genuine interest in the gaming sector. I think so anyway, look at us here on this site, nobody cares much about genre's, a good game is a good game - Nobody cares if something looks childish etc,...

FFXIII and XIV failing **** on Versus. XIII-2 was only decent, now Xiii-3, come on. Why not just finish Versus and then try and pick up the pieces of other games...

No way, the bonfire/Estus flash, numbered spells was a major improvement over Demons souls. In Demons you didn't have to worry about health or Mana due to the spices.
You NEVER ran out of grass or a Spice, that is the point.
Looking for a bonfire when your Estus flasks are low is the main thing. In Demons, you finish a level and that's it, that's your progression, in Dark, looking for Bonfires ins your progression. It's Literally Exactly the same thing...
In terms of gaming content, Sony won
They however lost horribly money wise. A shame for them, since they did actually serve the gamers the most this gen. If they have another gen(unlikely) like this the PS brand is ****ed.

Well, good point, but it's not enough ruin a good game. Deal with it basically, or don't buy it whatever. As you say at the end the game will probably be good anyway, but ND have become linear only creators this gen. Yes, their games are overrated this gen but still good.
You can look at it one way or the other. Ellie is a gameplay mechanic and a characters of the story, the story will probably be average again as usual but at least they are trying a mature one finall...

TLoU, that linear game with no scale and no vehicles. How something looks in only one aspect the power goes into. How many times will that argument be used? It's stupid and shows a lack of understanding of the tech behind the games.

I played Demons first, Dark souls is alot harder. With demons, starting out was hard because you weren't used to the gameplay. It got easier after that. Dark was just hard. Simple as.
The difficulty curve was good in Dark, Demons one simply dropped. But eh...yeah, best games this gen for me
Hmm, I think Far cry 3 took everything bad out of Far cry 2, and just a few good things.
Far Cry 2 was had insanely bad design when it came to such simple things. Truly a flawed masterpiece.

Tomb Raider has the potential to surpass Uncharted, Uncharted's plot is the one area it is actually lacking in. I doubt Tomb Raider will surpass it in some areas but the plot could easily get by it. Then there is the gameplay, which is a copy of Uncharted so....
Also, I find it funny that people can say "Bahaha as if" etc. Uncharted is not the greatest game ever, I don't see why it's so laughable that something can...
