well... id love to say cause they are america based but i guess its cause of their policy all this years, their support for certain 1st party devs and mostly the lack of support for certain genres im games is what turns ppl away from it.
why do ppl compare literally every goddamn game to Dark Souls like. We get it, DS is a hard game but really? im so sick of seeing this. DS is not the only hard game out there.
so.. why are we talking about a console thats been out for almost a year "outselling" a console thats not even on the market yet?

consoles are cheaper, pretty straight forward when it comes to stuff, and easier to operate for the mainstream audience.
i dont think its dead, fans are just rly disappointed with the last game but it did well.
i never said its actually working well, thats why i said "optimize" xD but i totally agree with you. we are just not ready for streamable videogames like. my connection is gd but its struggling at times. and im not rich enough to have super high speed internet. its a shame cause the modell is a good one

everything before this year, i totally agree. nothing all to exciting, some good games here amd there but nothing of the scale that we got this year. persona 5, nier, horizon, zelda, crash bandicoot. this year has been amazing so far, i dread next year tho.
the real question will be, who puts out the next gen first. Sony or Microsoft. pro and x1x are upgrades. ps5 wont happen anytime soon so .... 2-3 years from now we can expect the newest gen of consoles to come out imo
absolutely not. for xbox? yes, for gamers in general? fk no. no money in the worls that microsoft could have given them devs would make up the success and the money if it was on the switch and ps4 also. jokes on them i guess.
