How dare you throw accusations insinuating that if people didn't like the game then they are a bigot. I disliked elements of the game because I didn't like the direction they took with the narrative. I'd smash your jaw in half if you had the stupidity to say utter garbage like that to my face.

I absolutely loved Days Gone, alongside Spiderman, It's one of my PS4 favourites. It'd be ace if Sony Bend, as well hopefully working on a sequel, give the original game the PS5 treatment, hopefully eliminating all loading screens, adding more textures and smoother frame rates.
I agree to a extent about the combat feeling awkward. I completed the game on hard difficulty & on several occasions, in the heat of a combat situation, I felt like the controls & crafting mechanics were somewhat cumbersome and it felt like the game was actively trying to shaft me. Then it dawned on me, that this is in part, deliberate from the development team. Upon adding upgrades to my characters abilities, I found the game a lot less awkward to conrol. Ie faster crafting, less wea...
I watched a few of these videos your referring to & I felt like I had lost several brain cells by the time I reached the end of their frothing at the mouth gob$h!te rants.
My only conclusion, is either, they are leeching onto the popularity of the game to create controversy & attract hits to their sites, or they really are mentally incompetent. Maybe in some cases, both.
I'd just be happy if Naughty Dog added different playable characters to the encounters sections as bonus content. Uncharted 2 had this with Doughnut Drake and Skeletons & It would be great to play as Joel, Tommy, Jesse, Dina or even for novelty value an infected runner.
Cheers & many thanks Clay. I have to very cryptic, so as not to spoil anything, but my very favourite jaw dropping moment, was an homage to a certain movie franchise, when I suddenly happened upon Marc Bolan's band and climbed up the tail, shuffled along the spine and wheeee dive bombed off it's head & into the water.
There is nothing currently on the market, on consoles, that i'm aware of, that even comes close to the level of visual fidelity and polish this game has and I've played just about all the heavy hitters. The game visually blew my eyeballs to smithereens and I lost count of the number of times my jaw hit the floor.
The details & clarity are truly astonishing. I was able to walk up to posters, signs in windows and educational displays and not even have to zoom in t...
The story is insulting garbage to the point where I'd like to give Druckmann a knuckle sandwich for metaphorically spiting all over the first game. That's his decision, I loathe it, but I can still appreciate there's a top drawer game under the sheets.
In a crazy, deeply depressing way this makes playing through it an empty, void & vacant chore as Druckmann killed off the ace up the sleeve, so to speak. If I met him, I'd shirk him.

And very well deserved too. Well done Naughty Dog. A superb game, I utterly loathe Druckmann's narrative and his spurious agenda with the talent vacuum,Hailley Gross. I can't deny your team have put out a stellar product, however much your narrative reeks of dog $h!t. I absolutely loathe the game & love it in equal measure. So part 2, i love 50%. Part 1 is legendary. I love 200% .
In my sobriety, I must add, these are merely my honest opinions from someone who has bought and played the game. The 10's across the board, however well meaning, for me, are disingenuous without context.
It's a very divisive title in my opinion which doesn't deserve hand picked 10's across the board. I absolutely loathed Druckmann's story, but I can still appreciate quality when I see it.
For me it's clunky, especially in combat. The stuff out of combat is buttery smooth like Spiderman, but when a combat situation arises, I'm fighting a multitude of controls as well as enemies. I know I can change it, but have stuck with it, but I hate & struggle with L1 to run & at the same time dodge. I have died numerous times over, battling the control scheme, rather than the enemies.
I had the same problems with controlling Red Dead Redemption 2. Althoug...
His fate was sealed by Druckmann, as he was a gruff white, heterosexual. male protagonist and didn't fit his toxic agenda driven narrative.
I have completed the game. It's equal parts utterly bloody amazing and in other areas total garbage, mainly due to Druckmann. My favourite bit of the game - spoiler free - was a certain ahem Jurassic space section - the reason I loved it was because it mostly resemble the first game.
I have completed a second play-through of the campaign.(I got an early copy on Monday) Druckmann himself, has stated that the game may prove to be divisive.
Let me also add, I'm a Sony player, whose favourite game of the entire generation is Spiderman and last gen was The Last Of Us and Uncharted 2.
100% spoiler free. On a technical level, the game is superb, from it's environments, to it's superb visceral sound effects & score.

I have just completed another play-through of part 2. Only this time I hated it even more. The best way I can describe it is = The game is a depression simulator.
The blame for this $h!t show lies squarely at Druckmann's door. I absolutely loved the first game ( I platinumed it twice) & have just found out that I have waited 7 years, only to be lied to & metaphorically spat on by Druckmann.

gamersday08, now that you mention it, with PS4, I was really hoping for a 4k Blu ray player at the time with the Pro model, but it wasn't to be. So I then had to purchase a dedicated 4k player. I always thought that the PlayStation network store might have sold or rented 4k films or programmes.
Nice to see PlayStation 5 get a 4k player. Hopefully PSN will add 4k movie content.
I have played the game to completion. I will keep this very basic and 100% spoiler free.
Graphics are unsurpassed. You ain't seen nothing yet!!
The sound effects are amazing and the best I have ever heard in a game.
There are some very quick and exciting short time action packed set pieces.
The acting and voice work is exemplary throughout.
The game is indeed a masterpiece.

I think it looks absolutely stunning. It will look even more stunning, I'm sure, underneath my Christmas tree, complimented with a set of those snazzy 3d pulse headphones.

For me the game is absolutely spectacular on just about every level & really raises the bar. I have never played such a polished production.
With that said, my only gripe of contention was I didn't like the direction they took with the story and that's it, everything else was amazing.

I have completed the campaign twice and I'm heartbroken over Druckmann's $h!t show narrative.
With that said, however much I loathed certain aspects, this game absolutely reeks of the quality of a 9 to 10 score.
Stellar graphics & Sound.
Marred by clunky gameplay, that's not advanced much since 2013.

Looking forward to this, thoroughly enjoyed Resident Evil 7's horror, Evil Dead type feel. Part 8, I hope will be a howling success.
