Wouldn't SSD be very appropriate for high speed data caching, virtual memory (faux RAM a la "readyboost style" if you will) because of its strong points,ultra fast data access & retrieving random data?

That being said, is the Price/performance argument the one I don't buy.
When it comes to power, PC has no doubt the edge, but as I was "corrected" up there (even though I'm aware of what the resources advantage in a console come from), consoles are static systems as in "Custom PC's for gaming".
My first PC was a 386, my second PC was a "gaming rig" back in the day, a pentium 2@333Mhz with 128 Mb and a 24 Mb...
...PC's are capable of much more when you put just a bit more budget on them, but in my opinion when a console is getting games like you mentioned, all in my library, it does not have anything to be ashamed of.
By the way, if you are so right I would recommend reducing the use of the word "Stupid" a little bit(less than 3).
