Its obvious you never played KZ2. You say the world seems static and theres no environmental lighting. Those are 2 things no other game does like KZ2.
KZ2 maps are full of atmosphere. rays of sunlight cast when your climbing a hill, Sand blown all over the place, cloth blows in the wind it all looks amazing. Alot of Destructable elements in the environment too. When lightning strikes it lights up the level beautifully too.
Assault class + Boost , Launching missles bumping Dragonforce. This is living.
I'm glad PSN is no XBL. I has both and prefer PSN it may lack some features but it has the games I want, and free 2play like PC.
It all comes down to the games and PSN has what I need.
The only thing I want for KZ2 at this time is DLC/Map Pack's etc.

Bought it day 1 here. Traded in around 12 games and picked up KZ2, and Onechanbara on 360 too, have not even touched Onechanbara yet.
KZ2 MP is so Addicting I hope they come with some DLC. If any DLC Map Pack etc deserves my dough its whatever GG is cooking.
