They give you a controller just like every other console since the 1980's. Your not required to buy a extra one any more than any other console. In fact it is the only one where you can split one controller for some games.

Microsoft did not got down, can I play the old Halo online on my 360? No!? because the servers where taken down. Sony did not go under, can I play my Socom online game now? NO?! Why not? The server was taken down. EA is the KING of taking game servers down. NFL 2014 was down 14 months after the game was released. Plus many others.

@livingthedream Consoles have two things going for them that PC never had. You could buy a PC game and it not work with your setup. To stop refunds from the few big retailers that had a return policy, digital only was the savior of the PC publisher. Consoles rarely have this problem. And the few times they did Amazon, and others lead the charge to a refund for digital (remember all platforms say no return for digital).

Show you the other side of that.........The problem with Multiplayer is they are a repeat and repeat. And they end up in the bargain bin. They really need to concentrate on Single player (because I am only one person after all) Multiplayer is a also....I know it is not split screen anymore.
But at least be the extra that is expected. Not just multiplayer mas-curating as a full game.
