Not always. Callisto protocol is amd sponsored and runs horribly. I had a 5900x and a 4090 and I would see dips under 45fps and massive stutters. I upgraded to a 13700k and now it runs better but still see dips in fps and stutters.

I tried it out last night and on the ultra RT setting I was getting around 70-80 fps with DLSS off, 80-90 fps with DLSS quality and about ~130-150fps with DLSS Quality and frame generation. But this is just the starting area so I don't know how performance is with the larger city areas. I'm running it on a 5900x + 4090 @ 3440x1440

I was gonna upgrade from a 5900x to a 7950x but I might just wait for the vcache 7950x (7950x3D). The vcache 5800x3D is more or less on par or better than a 12900k in games https://www.techspot.com/re... . The 7950x3D is rumored to release early next year

It's got native 1440p and 4k support now and fixes the low res texture bug without needing to mess with the config. It's still got a 62fps cap though, I wish it had an uncap fps option or at least a slider for 144fps.

1440p. It averages around the 70-80fps range in 4k
it runs around 85-100fps on my 5900x 2080ti and I refuse to use fsr because it's ugly af lol. oh it also makes all mods useless since it's an updated engine

If Sony hadn't made overpriced proprietary memory cards and just went microsd or something it would've done better. I bought it at launch for uncharted and unit 13. The only other games I bought were gravity rush, kz mercs and dragon's crown because of how quick support was dwindling.
it's weird seeing them with guns but pubg's visual styles fits nier more than fortnite's cartoony and colorful world.
