Every game that gets played they get a piece. I bought darkness 2 on PC for $2.99. The $60 price for a game is only worth it if people are WILLING to pay it.
If everyone stopped buying day 1 and soon after games like call of duty would drop like a rock. If everyone was paying $5 once to own a digital game developers would stop bitching about resale, more people would buy games, people would have more games, and developers would still make profits.

Other than that ps3 was underwhelming. super slow trophy syncs, screen tearing, screen freezing, tiny feminine controller, fps with r1 and l1 buttons. overly sensitive r3 and l3. If youre into rpgs by all means get a playstation, if you like fps/action games and a good/solid online experience get an xbox.

Agreed, but i think they need to give some sort of free games as long as u maintain your subscription like ps +. I wish ps + would move to allowance system instead of getting stuck with don't starve or mercenary kings. Same with games with gold. Every month let us choose or use it toward dlc instead of a shit game and use our $50 subscription to pay the appropriate royalties.

The reason it did so well is there were no other ps2 multi player games to play. Look at the ps3 socom games....they didn't do so hot because people had battlefield, call of duty, Killzone,.....lots of choices.....socom suffered when the fans found new games.

Yep. They tried so hard on making p3 hack proof that the multiplatforms all ended up looking like mud. Most notably crysis 2 and 3. Black ops 1 and 2 were pretty bad too.
Alot of times i would buy multiplayer games on both consoles and single player games i would buy used at gamestop and return it before the 7th day and get it on the 360 after i platinumed it on the p3 or got the most trophies I could.
