A sequel or "something new" could never be as great as a sequel. That's because Squaresoft was on a higher level back in the PS1 days than they are now. Enix is lame and SquareEnix is just riding on the success of its past. Their games only have a bunch of emos, ridiculous character design, and the standard 'save the world' RPG story.
SquareSoft in the PS1 days made such masterpieces as FF7, FFTactics, and Star Ocean 2. Nothing they've made recently can even compare. A ...
