Well no shit it overheated, that's what happens you out it in a sealed plastic box with no ventilation, you just have hot air all over inside that plastic box.
The red line is a indication of overheating and when the plastic box was removed the red line turned back to blue, which shows you the hardware has greatly increased in intelligence.
The Xbox 360 would have the RROD regardless of it having proper ventilation or not.
