I'll put it simply, if you don't own a PS3, you can't consider yourself a real gamer. Sure, the 360 has Halo and Gears, but without a PS3 you missing out the GOTYs for 2008 and 2009 (LBP, MGS4, and especially UC2) plus all the rest of the great exclusives such as:
R&C Future Trilogy
Twisted Metal
GOWIII
Heavy Rain
Motorstorm
Resistance
KZ2 and KZ3
GT5
LBP2
Demon's Soul
etc, etc...
If the 3DS comes out in Nov. I won't be able to afford it. I'll have to wait till the mid-next year since there's so many games coming out in the next few months. And not to troll or anything, but a Nov. release date would be a very big blow to Kinect.
Bing Sucks.
360 games are known to sell the largest amount when they come out and this is Halo. I think we all knew it would sell millions. Just look at Halo 3's numbers.
Did you get any money from those millions of copies sold? Oh yea, you got nothing, lol. Just bragging about sales numbers that don't mean a thing. Why not brag about Halo Reach's quality gameplay and online (which I thoroughly enjoyed) instead of meaningless (to you) sales numbers?
LBP2 was the for-sure GOTY, now that's it's gone it's really going to be very different. This year, there won't be a clear GOTY (unlike 2008 with LBP and 2009 with UC2). A lot more games will be given GOTY award from different sites.
Guess Sony didn't want LBP2 competing with AC, COD, and GT, but god damn it all! Look at how many PS3 exclusives are coming out next year? I'm gonna be even more broke!
Dude, when Move was first shown I wasn't going to buy it, but as time went on and we got to see it's capabilities and the support Sony gave it, I decided to buy it.
Kinect, on the other hand, has shown little to no improvement since E3 last year (over a year ago), has shown nothing that the eyetoy can't do, and has no core support (just a bunch of casual and on-rails games that aren't even good enough for the Wii). Not to mention the fact that MS has priced it...
Then again there's always that small hope that people will finally realize they're getting rip-offed and stop paying. I mean, paying for internet, then having to Pay for XBL to access Half the game you already paid $60 and now this? 360 owners are getting especially ripped-off.
Isn't kinect just a better (if at all) version of the Eyetoy/PSeye that's been around for the last 6 or 7 years? Honestly, Everything I've seen on Kinect, I've seen done on the Eyetoy.
Exactly. Unlike Move, Kinect is very simplified. Very much like the wii in fact (gesture based).
"you can only do this using Kinect"
LMAO, guess Gametrailers haven't played Sports champion yet. And look at all that lag when he moves his arms up and down.
And I don't know, it just doesn't look fun swinging your arm back and forth without any sort of feedback. I still don't understand what's supposed to be so revolutionary about Kinect.
Wow, aren't those game you listed all 2K games? Guess 2K's been really lazy with their devs.
LBP2 won't sell as much as COD or AC Day 1, but it will have very long legs just like most PS3 exclusives. It'll probably reach 4-5 million life time.
Question, If I pre-order do I have to pay the full amount right now, or until the game ships?
So any sports compilation game is a rip-off of wii sports now? LMAO. Sports Champions is leaps and bounds ahead of Wii Sports. If you played it, you would know.
@Cellular
If you actually tried move, you would know it's not just HD graphics. It's the precision that really matters. It really is 1:1 unlike the Wii and Kinect. Now, imagine Move + 3D. That's as close as we'll get to virtual reality, Only on PS3.
Played Halo Reach, but once the next month is over, I won't be renewing live. There is literally ZERO reason to have XBL when I can get everything I get on XBL for free on PSN. In fact, I'd rather continue my PS+ Subscription. I've gotten around $80 worth of games in the last three months and only paid $17. Now THAT'S value right there.
Kinect is going to be so awesome! I'm can't wait to play on-rails games that even Wii Gamers frown upon. I'm sure they'll be great fun!/s
I'm buying Fallout and maybe Fable 3 (depending on scores). The others are kind of short, SP-based games that I can just rent and buy later when they're cheaper.
If the 3DS drops in Nov. then Kinect is screwed. The core gamers don't want it and the casuals' attention will be focused on the new Nintendo hand held.
