You could say that. I like to think that with my previous experiences in BETAs of the past that DICE will no doubt deliver(honestly they have not let me down in the past with BF games, except maybe 2142, just really didn't grab my attention(although Mechs effing rule!)).

I have to agree with the guy on this reply about the BETA, my friends and I are loving the BETA, even with its' faults. We know those will not be present in the final retail build of the game and thus, they are forgivable.
Yes the map we got, while fun, is not a BF style map because we can't use the vehicles, but we are still having fun!

I am waiting for this game as well! I loved the first one(although I know these are loosely connected), maybe when this gaming holiday season slows down I will grab a copy of Prey and play through it again for fun.
I bought it, I'm playing it, I'm having fun. It's a step out of the norm for id software and I think they pulled it off nicely. So far my only complaint is that Nightmare mode could stand to be harder, then again I am only in hour into the game so it could just be easing me into the world of Rage.
Nightmare mode in Doom in the :( so I have high expectations for this mode in Rage.

You can turn off your Tact light lol. The laser I am not sure on, but you can switch it on and off.
So really, it is the players choice to turn it on and off as the ability to do so is in the game already.
I will buy Dota 2 the day it releases and do you know why? Because Icefrog is the man and Valve are amazing. Oh and Dota is totally different than LoL(and most LoL kids will get destroyed in Dota 2 initially)
Agree Chicago. I put 40 hours or more into Demon's Souls, but most of it was grinding as Dark Souls will be, just in the open world.
Hell you may even finish the game before then! Skyrim could be a 100+ hour game for some people, others maybe 20-25. All depends on the play style.

I already plan to install the ENTIRE game on my 360, but I can see where people with older gen 360's, or people tight on space may worry, but if you have done some research you would have found a comment that said that you don't need to install the MP side of the game and if need be, install disc 1, then uninstall and install disc 2.
This leads me to believe that discs 1 and 2 are the SP portion and disc 3 is strictly MP.
Interesting. Since Gears is a TPS game and not an FPS game, I group it in a whole different area of games for me to play. So technically I would play both, but depending on my mood and time I have to play, it may seem like I favor one more than the other(which isn't the case)

I remember playing the Halo 3 BETA and loved the direction the game was going, and then the retail came out, the graphics got pumped up, but the game got slowed down considerably imo.

The 2nd day it has been out(to the masses) and already a patch. And people were complaining like little girls, ungrateful little children.

I am personally happy there is now effing Kill Cam, that thing is retarded. The Metro map is big, but big enough for 24 players because it was shrunk down a bit for the consoles.
Oh and if you are complaining about running across the map from a spawn point so far away, there is this lovely little thing I use all the time called SPAWNING ON YOUR SQUAD!

Agreed, I had BC2 on the 360 and then ditched the whole setup for a PS3, BC2 died fast on the PS3 and BF3 will too. I noticed that playing any other game on the PS3 online except the exclusives(UC, KZ etc.) and COD, you will be hard pressed to find a game.
And all of my friends have the 360, so I will be getting it on the "inferior" console and still have fun because of my friends.
And we all know the 360 is going to crush the PS3 in sales on this t...
