yah... i pretty don't see much incentive to having achievements(referring to everything) anymore, its as if everything on the internet has achievements now, steam has achievements, websites with flash games have achievements you can unlock, heck even myspace/facebook apps have achievements...

each game can have their own trophy that represents the game, in the case of superstardust hd the trophy is a ship...so each trophy therefore can be unique.
and no... not every trophy has to be a hunk of metal, look at pixel junk eden trophy for example...
