Sony didn't decide for me when this gen started, and it wasn't a sony console that started it either. I decide when a generation starts for me. It's talk like this that makes me consider never buying another Playstation console.

I actually sold my ps3 in my local newspaper this past Christmas, and bought my son a 360 for his room. I didn't think blu-ray was all it was cracked up to be, and gaming on PSN was a snore, so it wasn't even a question for me what I should do. 360 just has so many great games, and the people on Live are for the most part really nice if you are nice to them.

What you seem to be forgetting or obviously unaware of, is that N.A. is 360 country. The 360 has over a 2-1 lead in this region. The ps3 isn't the most popular console here. If it wasn't for blu-ray the ps3 would already be DOA here. You are in europe, it's pretty pretentious of you to claim N.A. with follow the same suit as europe, when N.A. hasn't resembled europe or japan in our choices between 360 & ps3. Mark my words, the ps3 is going to get b*tch slapped in N.A. this holiday season....

The ps2 didn't sell well until it got to $150-$199. That's a mainstream price. Just my own speculation, but I think the 360 is about to catch it's second wind and finish the "game" in N.A.. It's already a better game console than ps3, and it's starting sku just became in reach of all the Wii and ps2 consumers of the last few years. Whether or not the economic crunch we are in will hurt or help is yet to be seen. But if I were a gambler, I would be "all-in" on the 360 this ...

The $199 Arcade is the most bang for your buck console that someone without broadband, or a child not allowed to game online can own. And according to last years level, that's 65% of U.S. internet users.

For the people who don't have broadband,kids that aren't allowed to game online, or people that don't want to game online but still want what I would consider the best next-generation console, the $199 Arcade is the perfect system to own. The "tard pack" for these folks would be the $400 ps3, with hundreds of dollars worth of hardware that they aren't going to use.
Owning both consoles isn't a proof of no bias. You clearly state in your bio that you are a ps3 fanboy. Which is very odd to me, because every duel console owner that I know personally prefers the 360 by a landslide.
And no, it was when the ps2 got between $150-$199 that it sold it's most consoles. And are you saying that the $400 ps3 is a good value for someone without an hdtv or broadband? I think Sony should release a $100 ps3 sku for these people, don't you?
Value in the ps3? For the audience that the $199 360 is built for, I would say that the ps3 is consumer rape. The people that will buy the Arcade 360 will likely be former ps2 owners. The same people who bought the ps2 for $199, and are the majority of folks who don't have an hdtv or hi-speed internet. Do you realize that these same people, if they opted for a $400 ps3, would be paying for probably $300 worth of hardware that they don't need? That's not value, that's consumer rape.
I haven't noticed any framerate issues in the recent videos that I have watched.

I agree with Freckles, level editors aren't anything special, they have been around for a long time. I used the level editors on Timesplitters and Halo 3 for a total of about 3 hours over 3 days. They just aren't fun if all you really want to do is play a game.
I can hardly wait to play this with my friends on Live, it should be hysterical. : ) I'm going to make the townspeople hate my friends lol.
A hardcore gamer is someone who's hobby is gaming. A casual is someone who play games, but gaming isn't their hobby. And an extreme gamer is a person that starves to death in an internet cafe from a WOW binge.
