Are you seriously comparing automatic weapons and women in the battlefield? There's a serious difference there in terms of realism.
No, they don't have to put them in. Bf3 is set in 2015, and Bf4 is set in 2025, and neither games feature females in multiplayer. This is not a problem, but simply a design choice to create a more realistic atmosphere.
How is that in any way a problem? That will just make the atmosphere feel much more real in game.

@HaHa_Ostrich The singleplayers in Cod 4 and MW2 are good, however the multiplayer is truly where they shine.

I completely agree Eonjay. Bf4 is now an incredibly fun shooter, Dice LA really stepped it up fixing the broken mess that Bf4 was at launch.
