I get how you feel about the direction that the Splinter Cell series has taken but that's a pretty weak reason to discredit Blacklist as "god awful".
I've finished the game on a ghost run on perfectionist difficulty and I can tell you that the stealth is much stronger here then it ever was in Conviction.

Well I have tried mashing X while going to the gym but that came out was "JASSOON!"
This whole time I was expecting MW gunplay with future weapons, "Battlefield" scale and expanse cobbled together with giant mechs. Pretty disappointing news.

As much as I like seeing sycophants squirm under pressure and being called out on their bs, at the end of the day, it's their job. They care about the industry but I believe their job obligations and audience expectations are holding them back.

I've got a whole essay.
Games deserve a good game award ceremony but we don't need hosts that are as deadpan and uninterested as McHale.
I believe games deserve deserve a big fancy award ceremony to commerate the hard work the developers put in and the enjoyment I get from playing them. But if you think some uninterested douchebag like McHale was the refreshing part of VGX this year then you've got it all wrong.
We need people willing to take games seriously to bring the industry forward. Get rid of the stigma that people think games are for kids and nerds.
