Conclusion: before price drop it was ~50,000-60,000 in a weeek in EU. After price drop it will be minimum around ~75,000-85,000 and will last long time becaus there is mass market price.

calc the qty - 40% is equals to 200% here. Sony sales were too low and they got 200%. Xbox 360 are good and will be even better.

There is no strong competitor on this market from Japanese company to Apple. So they don't mind. SONY is a great Japanese competitor to Microsoft. There is a difference.

So low XBOX360 sales in Japan is just about Japaneses don't want to support Microsoft as a company because they want to be proud of their national SONY and want to see "real next-gen" as SONY told them to wait for. That is normal.
XBOX360 better version anyway because of better GFX and more memory.

MS makes money from software(games royalties) not hardware. so their main purpose is to make as big install base as they can. that is like you buy a cellular phone for $0 and pay only for calls.
