get cotton balls or q-tips and open up the ps3 (look it up on youtube if you don't know how. It also voids warranty)
dip the cotton balls in rubbing alcohol so that they are just slightly wet (not dripping wet) and clean the components. Be sure the ps3 is off.
If you see large dust bunny's you can remove them with your fingers and for the smaller areas use the q-tips with alcohol.
Now let it dry for a few minutes and put everything ba...

It actually runs about 20% better than the 480, better than the 5870 and about 5C less temp than the 6870. I think nVIDIA wins.
