Most PS4 and XBO games will not be on Switch and PS4 already play with PC. I think you are over exaggerating the impact of crossplay XB+PC+Switch.

Some guys are really desperate.
I do not know how it will be, when it will launch or how much it will cost but I'm sure it will be a better console than XB (whatever MS call it).

I'm not really sure about that. This may depend on how much each platform has evolved over the previous one. Anyone who owns a PS4 and sees videos about Pro does not feel uncomfortable about not having bought a half-cycle console. On the other hand, anyone who sees this news about XBX feels that they now only have a paper weight with their XBO. I do not know if this is healthy for the gaming industry.

Of course it failed. Companies will not stop charging for the game on XBO and charging again on PC.
I have not finished The Witcher 3 yet and I'll probably have to start over. That while I try to finish Horizon and Shadow of Mordor with eyes on Shadow of War and wanting to do Dragon Age again. Impossible task.

Some people seem don't to want to accept that MS is no longer interested in the console market, they wants the PC gaming market. All this is just a preparation for a lucrative ecosystem on Win10. They are trying to gain trust for their target: PC gaming.
