just because a different console has sold out, doesn't mean that people will just buy the other, if you truly like the console that you wanted you would stick to it no matter the sold out or not. If I was going to pre-order the PS4 but it was sold out, why would I buy something that is more expensive AND is less powerful. Kind of a waste if you ask me.
Also this doesn't tell you how many units they had. I mean, you could have only 100 X...

Actually a consoles main function is for gaiming, you wouldn't buy a PS4 just to watch a movie would you? Or buy an X1 just to go on Skype? I'm I right?
There are many PC's built for gaming but they are not mainly built for gaming. You can browse the web and listen to music as well which the same goes for a console but games are a priority for a console.
Agreed, infact I hear that term a lot now, "these next-gen consoles are like high-end PC's now". And I can't disagree with them on that because they are right
People keep saying how when you compare these consoles to a PC, they suck and PC always is better and all of that stuff. BUT in my opinion, they are not.
For example the architecture in the consoles such as the PS4 are more advanced than the PC since they have to upgrade it and alter the GPU, CPU, and other features and components. This is why the consoles actually highly differ from PC's.
