I think they still have life in them. Magazine fill the perfect role of toilet literature at the moment, as I can't really justify taking a laptop to the loo just for ten minutes or so of reading. Also, reading off a small display, such as an iPhone really doesn't appeal.

Good interview. I'm very intrigued as to how much was actually cut out of Mirrors Edge.

Looks like this will be a pretty awesome multiplayer game. It sounds a bit mental and full of opportunities to grief your mates to hell and back to win. Probably gonna result in a few dead arms from cheap victories.

Looks like this and Blacklight: Tango Down are going for a similar marketing model. It'll be interesting to see how they both work out.

Really looking forward to this one. I'm very interested to see how much of the old Splinter Cell has been left in, or if it is a complete revamp to the new 'panther' like Fisher.

Definitely a bit of a risky one if it is true...

Good interview. I'm really keen to see how well this turns out and if it can offer a new take on online shooters which we are currently drowning in.

I must admit, I fully support these game codes coming with games. Okay, it will damage the second hand market, but it is also an unintrusive way to help curve piracy a bit more, by denying those who don't source the game legitimately some of the content that paying customers get.

The true genius though is that if pirates want this content, they can buy a code for themselves, which I assume will give them legitimate access to the VIP download network on the pirated software. This ...

It's quite mental and really, really brutal. I'm just hoping that the interrogation system lets you have multiple options for hurting people per room. I'm already bored of the demos three destructable things in the bathroom.

Whilst I don't condone spoiling things for anyone, the last picture in this article is the best graffiti spoiler I have ever seen.

If only I had a parachute that could be opened up an infinite amount of times. Then my lifestyle would not change very much, but I would have the piece of mind to know that I could fall from buildings/planes/Godzilla's clutches and land safely.

If you want awesome guns in a game I would recommend Battlefield Bad Company 2. Whilst it offers a slightly more arcadey feel as a shooter, the guns in it sound like the best boomsticks ever. You can also see the damage they cause against the environment which is a nice immersion filler. Recoil comes as standard.

That's a really bad oversight on the dev's part. I know that HDTVs are fairly common these days, but it still doesn't take into account broken HDMIs, lack of spare HDMI ports or a bucket load of other things. As a student I was still on a big cathode ray screen that let me play games nice enough. If I was still at uni and wanted to play FF13, I imagine I would have been pretty miffed to say the least.

Always a shame to see a games studio struggle with money issues, especially with an interesting project in the line. Assuming Mars development resumes, could its success be make or break for Spiders?

Really looking forward to finding out how the new mechanics affect the gameplay. I must admit though, I do generally like to turtle myself in to an impenetrable fortress of doom before marching my legions out the front gate.

I can almost hear the screams that will inevitably be escaping people's lungs when they realise how screwed over they are due to ignoring what they percieved as a decoy. I really hope it doesn't simply turn in to a game of coin flips whether to go after an enemy force or not. Maybe we'll get some nice counter ruse action on the go. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

I must admit, I know what you mean about gaming having a lot of niche celebrities. March in to one circle of people and mention Gabe Newell, and everyone can easily spark up a conversation about Valve, Steam and Half-life. Walk in to a different crowd just a few inches away though, and they could just as easily all look at you sideways having no idea who or what you are talking about.

With the amount of time, money and energy being invested by both Sony and Microsoft, I really hope that we can have some really good motion control games that aren't just aimed at the kiddies and the oldies. I get the impression that both companies are pushing these to be rather mainstream controllers rather than just peripherals so I just hope they make the games work well with them, rather than just using them for the sake of it.

It'll be interesting to see how this game may influence others after it.

I reckon you should do a survey and see if there are more of these delightful sounding 'clicker' chaps hunting in the games area or in the adult entertainment one. I want to know which audience they think is more deprived.
