I am also looking out for this to see how it turns out. Its a good idea and looks good in gameplay videos. Hope it turns out well.
I have a headset for my PS3, but only use it online if it is needed for the game. If not really needed then I don't bother with it.
Good game. I didn't get it straight away as I didn't know if I'd like it or not. After a month or so of it been out I saw it for nearly half the price (new) and decided to get it. Glad I did, It is a lot better than I thought.
Basically its an extra $14 for DLC which was intended for release on the disc anyhow. If it should have been on the game to start with it should be free. But if it is extra and wasn't originally mean't to be on the disc then make it pay for.
Thats the only fair way I can see to do DLC. They shouldn't have said it was mean't to be on the original release then people wouldn't be as bothered.
I don't mind too much as long as the ads don't get in the way of the gameplay. If its used in game like in real life, on billboards in open world games or around the perimeter like football/soccer then its ok. But if it is blatantly put in my face then its wrong and shouldn't be allowed.
I agree, too many games are set in New York. Surely It could be set somewhere else, anywhere else but NY.
I got Burnout Paradise cause I loved the demo. Also Uncharted Drakes Fortune. Most of my other games I already new I was buying or read reviews/watched preview vids.
Have been waiting patiently for a long time now for this game. I just hope it comes out soon. I got a steering wheel ready for when its released. Been playing Dirt, Grid, NFSshift, Ferrarri Ch, GT5 prologue and Midnight club LA, but it's just not the same as the real thing, GT5.
Looks like HHG was right. new video for 18th. Pity we can't watch it though.
Patiently waiting for this game, day 1 buy for me. Really need a good steering wheel to get the full experience of the game. Prologue and TT demo is way better with s/wheel.
This video looks great with the side by side comparison, the track, background, hills everything look great.
I also had high hopes for this game. Its a pity it hasn't turned out well. I was going to buy this but now I dont think so.
Day 1 buy for me also. Been waiting for this releasing.
The one game many may have overlooked which I think is great is Saboteur. It came out at a bad time just after MW2 and AC2. IMO its a very good open world GTA type of game. I love it.
The time crisis gun is better than that. I have it and at least you can aim anywhere on the screen with that. This gun you don't aim with the gun really, you are always firing in the centre of the screen. The Time Crisis one you have to aim the gun and can fire anywhere on the screen.
I like the TC one as it works just like a dualshock (2 analogue sticks and all buttons) and you aim anywhere on screen with the gun. They should make more games for it IMO, worked well on TC for me, took...
Not very dynamic really, bit boring not much happens on any of the three themes.
I hope it doesn't get censored anywhere. We all should be able to play the same version wherever we are from. I'm from UK where its not too bad, but US, AUS, N/Z wherever your from you hopefully and should get the original full version of the game. I wouldn't be happy if I got a dumbed down version when others weren't.
I want all to enjoy this great game wherever you are.
Mandatory installs dont bother me really. I have had my blu-ray die on me and Installs shoud help with the life of them as the game is reading from the hard drive instead of the disc, thus not using the blu-ray as much. Plus its only a few minutes of time when disc is first used, its not as though you have to go through an install every time you play. Some people are so impatient nowadays.
My blu-ray died on me while playing Godfather(dons ed) last February, Original 60gig fat, 1 1/2 yr old. Would play CD, DVD but not blu-ray games. Got it replaced with same model for £145. I don't think its the firmware thats the fault, Its the usage and probably poor make in old models. Mine did get hell of a lot of use, 1000's of hours. At least with games with big installs when first played, the blu ray isn't getting as much use as the data is coming more from the Hard drive not disc....
I would never do this either. I like earning them through playing. Its so sad if you have to resort to this. Plus you just look silly with trophies gained all at the same time, it makes it obvious they aren't what have really been earned.
My original 60gig had blu-ray failure while playing Godfather dons ed about 1 year ago. I had a replacement 60 gig sent from Sony and everything has been ok since. PS3's do sometimes have this problem of blu-ray failure but IMO its not a firmware problem, its just the blu-ray has failed at the same time as the system has been updated, just a coincidence.
