Perhaps this is what Valve has been working on and the reason why Half Life 3/episode 3 is taking forever to release. An updated source engine or a new engine?
:( i was hoping it was Descent, the actual spaceship mine exploration game we once saw from Interplay. I miss those games and i hope the franchise would make a come back soon.
If they have some good animations to go with this then im sure it will be mind blowing. Smooth and realistic animation makes a difference in the world. Look at the new NBA game coming out, wow some of the best animation i have seen yet but the actual texture right now when they zoomed in were terrible but it still looked amazing. Other than that, its not the best but certainly not the worst.
I am so relieved that you can play it solo as Issac. Then coop after to play with a buddy for fun. Just gives the game more replay ability and how other games should do it imo. Now thats to say if they didn't gimp the singleplayer portion of playing solo in favor of people will be playing it coop.
That wasnt gameplay. I want to see actual gameplay where the character is fighting. Is this going to be first person like the actual elder scrolls series or another third person MMO doing what every other MMO is doing... Damn, it better be first person, literally elder scrolls but with an online portion and not another freaking MMO that plays like WoW. If i want that, id play WoW.
There is always scripted gameplay to some extent, there has to be. Im sure it will be the same guy in the same car each time but what happened if he didnt use the street lights to stop him? Would you have to fight the guards at the club and then go chase him down. There was a % going up of the possibility of having to fight your way out. Im sure there are different ways to do the mission different but in the end its the same core mission.
Ive have to be honest though, you dont need that powerful of a rig to play BF3 at high settings. My HD 5770 a $100-$120 card runs it all on high at 1080p with textures at ultra and silky smooth gameplay on servers with 64 people on it.
Then again i could barely max out other games. Its all in optimization and they did a hell of a job with BF3 i give them that.
oh i hate PR talk, its so fake and bugs me to no end. Its nice to see when devs/people talk about something and are truly passionate about it. You can tell this guy certainly is not, although he is good a speaker.
The only cheats that should be used in a game is the singleplayer cheats. I.e. like the good ol doom days, god mode, all ammo and keys, etc.

I have to disagree bring on the 12 year old gimicks! That what games needs now a days, they are so caught up in other things they forgot about some of the key gameplay elements and stuff we all loved in other games that came before this gen. Its all CoD or seriousness now. Whatever happened to good old games like Pyschonauts and Turok.
I do agree id rather keep the 12 year old KIDS out haha.
Oh a one time fee. See i thought Elite and now BF3 premium would be a subscription based like WoW or any other MMO. Seems like a good deal to me if you enjoy the game to buy the premium editions, save money in the long run.
They have to be in the same universe because there are so many hints about it. How in portal they mention Black Mesa and it shows in Half Life 2 Episode the Borealis carrying Aperature Laboratory cargo.
It reminds me exactly of Bioshock actually. Which is a good thing for me.
This is an awesome bundle and i have been wanting to play all these games for a little while now. Of course they will add more games since i already bought it haha but im still satisfied and maybe ill buy it again for the extra games.
Playable but its still in early Alpha so has a lot of kinks to work out. Its really laggy for me.
I really like the Dead Space series. While the second was good i felt like something was missing, but it was still good. I just hope that if they are implementing coop that it is purely optional. So its not like RE5 where when you play alone you have a bot following you around.

Would be nice but dont care id still buy it separate if they did it right. So therefore we need to let them know what we want so they do it right the first time.
