What negative impact will this have though? Will it be just a vocal minority speaking against the concept? Then it wouldn't be all that stupid.
Nothing is liked by everyone, I guess. Story DLC is about the closest thing we have to full scale expansions. I refuse to invest money in cosmetic and other minor DLC.
;( I could've use a copy now.
What they said doesn't really change what it is. The console is a hybrid in reality. Some people might only use it on the go, some people might only use it at home docked, most will use it both ways.
Good luck cramming much better specs into a portable device of reasonable size and with no active cooling. The Switch is amazing specs wise for what it is. Meanwhile for the large stationary consoles they fall far behind gaming PCs with enthusiast graphics cards, and supercomputers make every console put together look like a Lite Brite by comparison.
No it wasnt. People already decided whether or not to buy the Switch the moment it was revealed. Leaking spec information will not cause a negative impact on the Switch's success.
Nintendo Switch will be a huge success. This is a brand new way of playing console games. The ability to take the console and turn it into a portable handheld is something no other company has ever done. The Switch not only succeeding the Wii U but also the very popular 3DS, leaves very high chance of success and no chance of failure.
There is an article saying it is not true.

Good news. Nintendo cancelling NES Mini production right at the heat of demand is very bad business, like abandoning a huge gold mine. Nintendo is not this stupid at all.
The Switch will be a smashing success for Nintendo. March 3rd, only a few weeks away, will begin a whole new era of console gaming that will be the ninth generation, with a console that packs in incredible hardware into a tiny device only slightly bigger than a large smartphone. Nintendo landed on a gold mine with the legendary Switch shaping up to be the best Nintendo platform since the SNES. Third parties, AAA, indie, and Japanese niche developers will find their share of the gold on the su...
The specs are incredible. All this power right in your hands and on the go is just beautiful. This will begin a whole new era of console gaming, an experience unlike anything before, all thanks to Nintendo's innovative ability. March 3, a few weeks away, will make memorable history.
Congrats to Forza and Microsoft for becoming one of the world's most successful driving game franchises. The Forza Horizon series is my favorite with beautiful open world racing, jaw dropping visuals, the best controls, and amazing racing tracks, jam packed with intense action.
Not important at all.
Only time will tell on this one, but 3DS-like sales by the end of its generation are more realistic.
This will be interesting. It needs to stand out from the Switch in some way, having its own kind of game play. It could be another 3D handheld, it could be a handheld with VR capabilities, it could be a mobile phone, etc. Whatever it is, I will be on board day one.
Why can't it be called a handheld? The whole thing can literally be held in your hand, therefore it is a handheld...
This is going to be a long month of wait.
The game I enjoyed the most on Wii U is Super Mario 3D World. My favorite 3D Mario game since Mario 64. In fact I like how the game plays better. It is an excellent 3D version of the classic SMB style of game play, has wonderful visuals, and charming music. The cat Mario power up is so cool.
The Switch is a fine balance between power and portability. The ability to take console quality experiences on the move is why there is a huge market for Nintendo's new console. Preorders are a huge indicator of that.
The portable market is Nintendo's strongest and most important market. Nintendo is capitalizing on their strengths with the design of their new console. The ability to take console quality experiences on the move isn't easy, especially at a price p...
Is this what gaming is becoming? Support buying the same games you already own just to get the message there is demand for a brand new game? We wanted a new game. Many of us before E3 were expecting a new game. Not a collection of remakes, not Skylanders.
Is the next Elder Scrolls dependent on sales of Skyrim Special Edition? Will Mario Kart 9 only come if Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sells enough copies? What about FFXVI? Will gamers have to buy FFVII remakes in order to even hope...
