Lets be honest this is all thanks to PS2 and PSP and of course software sales. But that is good actually...in a way. To be able to make profit and cover loses on PS3 is just INSANE! Lets not forget that just month ago it costed 700-800 dollars to make PS3 and they were selling it half the price, so ton of money has been lost. It just shows you what a mamoth PS2 is and with help of PSP Sony has big stack to cover it self.

So that you can put 5 or 6 games on your 40gb? Lets not forget most of good PS2 games are 5 or 6 gb like FF and GOW so i really dont this that is the case.
They want people to keep on PS2 while it is still alive or otherwise there would be 10s of millions used one at retailers and thats where Sont loses by people not buying new PS2 but instead used ones.
Sony is most likely making close to 100 bucks on every PS2 sold, so why jeopardize this`?

yes games are selling but in EUROPE! Thanks to Europe/others those numbers are that high.We have to admit that so far Ratchet and Uncharted have under perfomed in US chartz

If you mean by exclusive because it wasnt on PS3 than reason for that is that PS3 was just launched or about to launch, dont remember exact release date but reason was because PS3 was to young system.
