he basically just said this title will click for some and not for others... for me it clicked after playing the demo... 7.3 is a good score to the right buyers just not a game for everyone... its just a shame the review system is so lame these days

for example a brick will fall with the momentum of gravity and kill you with its weight (or a mixture of weight and momentum at the same time)

I can accept it... 9.5 from IGN and a 9.1 from GT seems pretty fair to me... I guess it did get the scores it "deserved"

where you play as someone killing us english dudes I would play it if its a good game... entertainment is entertainment at the end of the day... and if you want a game where you play a character from another country try putting grand theft auto 4 in one of your consoles and go on a little killing spree

Its certantly one of the better FPS stories... CoD4's sucked and I have no idea how people think the execution mission was powerful storytelling... hek I was not even emotionally connected with the character to start with... Halo is a good tory but not brilliant... Rainbow6 = poo campaign, brothers in arms = poop... I can only think of bioshock which displays a truly great campaign in a fps... oh and metroid (even though some people dont count these games as true fps games)

all the reviewers that I respect gave this around a 9 or above... i dont care about the lame reviews... too many popular websites have scored this game as excelent for me to think anything else... although 8 is great I would rather trust GT and IGN (heck even GT are 360 fanboys and scored this over a 9)
shame you didnt think R&C:TOD's and Uncharteds graphics were mindblowing either... some people dont appreciate good visuals I guess

great minds think alike... and great minds love gold saucer... the charm that place has is stupidly amazing from the art to colour scheme... very inventive... oh and the music and games rock in there too :-)
i didnt say i wanted more power as in damage with the shotgun... I dont care for the roll tactic... im just saying give it a bit of stopping power since the lancer has it... a shotgun to the chest should slow someone down who is running at you with their finger on the B button...
I love gears2... amazzing both online and offline... BUT multiplayer needs fixing...
Im not bothered the shotgun is less powerful than in gears1... but come on for gods sake the lancer has more stopping power than the shotgun... If someone is running at me with a chainsaw im doomed because they walk straight through my shotgun blasts... sometimes the lancer is good enough to push them back... It doesnt make sense!

well thats not always the case... socom for example was totally broken and was online only... If the core of the game is broken then you are screwed BUT didnt a reviewer do a socom review after the fix?
and gears still deserves a high score for its single player / coop... Apa...
