Halo didn't revolutionize FPS's at all. It set a new standard for console fps. Apart from rebounding health bar everything it did has been done by pc shooters for years. FPS haven't been innovated since half life 1 imo. Stupid HHG and his flamebait articles...
There's no such thing as "round textures" That phrase doesn't make any sense. If your talking about the square polygon edges on Vanille's fingers, your looking at pictures from the beginning of this month. This video already is gameplay from last year. Whether or not they change that, can you find anything else that looks better in the Versus footage?
What part of it looks better??? The wall and floor was just a simple texture map. There wasn't any random geometry at all in that scene...The model of Noctis apart from the hair doesn't look any different from MGS4. Animation looked good but what else is there in that scene that looked good?

Uncharted hair looks good but no where near FFXIII's hair. Uncharted's hair is merely polygon edges covered with texture and bump maps which is why Drakes hair never moves. Look at FFXIII's hair. They got a shader that renders the hairs fluidity and motion as well as the soft lighting....Its not even a competition. I love uncharted and mgs4 but don't circle jerk it so much. FFXIII looks much better.
