i'm pretty sure the story will have more depth than you give it credit for. i'm not talking like the story along the lines of a 60+ hour RPG, but i'd give it a chance before you dismiss it so quickly.
i do agree tho, the blogs and such will hype this game a lot. but as of right now, they have every right to in my eyes.
will they be right when the game hits the shelves tho? i'm damn sure by the looks of it and how uncharted 1 did.
"Graphics look decent..."
decent graphics? i know the video quality wasn't HD or anything, but by your standards i'm sure nothing in the world of video games is "decent" yet.
this game looks incredible, and you know it. i understand if the game isn't your particular genre, but i honestly don't see how you can say the graphics are just "decent"
the fluidity is just simply incredible. i have never seen such accurate animations in a game ever.
i can't wait for this game, i've been playing through the first one for platinum, and from the HD movie put up yesterday I think, i'm just amazed at the improvement made from 1 to 2. and that's amazing in itself, because Uncharted 1 looked phenomenal.
i simply can't wait to see the demo.
even moreso, i simply can't wait for the game to come out. it will truly be an epic game that will no doubt be remembered by me for a long time. i'm just throwing that out there right now.
i can safely say that MAG is something that just becomes more and more interesting for me as time goes on.
i've started playing through uncharted again just to re-familiarize myself with the story (and get all them trophies =P) and i must say, its better than i remember it; and it is only hyping me up more and more for U2 which i simply can't wait for.
this is going to be a damn good year for my gaming library.
i agree 100% with what you said. however, i've been studying a lot for finals lately and just wanted you to know that it's actually a 250% increase, not 350%.
a 0% increase means it didn't change. a 100% increase means it doubled, 200% tripled, 250% triple and a half. in any case, that's insane for the PS3
i'm sorry i'm nitpicking that to death, but my mind is on school right now. (can't say i'm too thrilled about that)
no disrespect - riley from boondoc...
57000.
mother of god that's a lot.
i've played a fair amount of those games and i must say it is a solid list. i was pretty surprised not to see Doom on the list, though.
well, i doubt they're biting off more than they can chew. i believe that it is safe to assume that this will be a sequel to warhawk; to me that just makes sense. i could be entirely wrong, though, and this game may not be remotely close to warhawk in any way, shape, or form.
if this is a sequel to warhawk, i can expect there to be upped graphics, better atmosphere.. pretty much everything involving gameplay will be improved.
let's not get skeptical about what the na...
there's a bunch of things sony could do that would be damn nice. personally i'd be more than content with a few jrpg games announced, as well as some confirmed release dates for various games. obviously new games/sequels are also acceptable =)
i think i'll be quite happy with whatever sony does announce, tho.
well..
-i'm not going to comment on the "weak 3rd party support"
-the updates aren't slow at all to me. sure i'd like them faster but i'd rather have an update take its time and toss a few new features here and there that are useful rather than just giving me updates that don't do anything for me. sony is taking time with that and its working out well IMHO.
-lack of psone classics. good lord, if you really want them go on ebay and pick them up ...

idk if anyone else watches the "angry video game nerd" and his videos, but they are funny as hell. he essentially reviews bad games, peripherals, systems etc. and rips into them. he did it with the power glove, too.
i recommend watching his videos if you're looking for a good laugh.
off topic i know, and i apologize for that, this just broug...
i agree with a good chunk of the games on the list. i was honestly anticipating Doom would be on there without a doubt. kinda surprised there.
solid list all the same, tho.
i agree. it definitely has hit 2 million in sales. i'm not quite sure the author only accounted for 33% of the game's sales O_o

"The convience of having them on the HDD is a big thing. Esp. 4 RPG fans, since this gen has been disappointing in that area so far."
quoted for truth. i love the rpg genre like there is no tomorrow, but this gen has been sub-par at best IMHO. the last RPG i played was actually an SNES one, Lufia II. i love going back to the good ol' days of RPGs.
back on topic, i believe that the PS2 BC taken out of the PS3 was a smart decision from a ...
you can in fact use an SD card and simply copy your PS3 (Or PS2/PSX even) save data onto the card. Just simply put the SD card in the reader, let the PS3 recognize it (which should take about 10 seconds maybe at the most) and then go to game--> saved data or whichever it is, go to where you can see your saved data and simply press triangle then "copy" then select the SD card.
i used SD card because I actually just copied a ton of saves back and forth due to upgrading...
agreed. i think cecil/cain or locke should be up there no doubt. so many others seem to be overlooked by cloud & sephiroth who make an appearance in the list each and every time.
Tidus!?
*crosses fingers for something big*
i saw a buddy of mine playing this yesterday, and all i can say is that it seemed exactly like a DOTA from warcraft III online. you select a hero, creatures continually respawn as allies or enemies, you must either kill XX amount of enemy heroes or all their base, you gain levels, skills, you get money to buy equipment etc.
just stick with the WCIII DOTA games in my opinion, you'll save yourself some money and have a better game.
just my two cents.
