clearly you dont understand Studio ghibli. The art style is cartoonish, but the underlying message of the films (and this game) is something that can appeal to all ages.

I agree with you in that their law suit is kind of baseless and annoying. But thats business.

Where I dont agree with you, is that Kevin Butler WAS the product - in the sense that he stood for the Playstation brand for a good period of time. He advertised things in such a way that people's opinion of the PS brand improved enough for them to spend 300/400$ on a PS3 they might not have bought otherwise.

There is selling, and then there is branding. Witho...

Those were the Viral ones. They were weird, but had shock value.

I'd just like to add it's not a woman. It's a robot.
THIS GAME IS GOING TO BE CYBORGIST.

But seriously. It's supposed to be sexy. And I would also like to point out that there seems to be a HEROINE in this trailer as well. She may very well be one of the "Butch" guys shooting at the scantily clad robo-woman.

At any rate, the article is just someone looking to make inrows and get page views. Every woman I showed at the offic...

Mount and Blade, Chivalry, War of the Roses, then there's also EYE: Divine Cybermancy, Warhammer 40k Space Marine has a pretty robust melee system too. Then there's that over-produced Dynasty Warriors Franchise as well.

Sad fact of the matter is - melee weapons just aren't as fun to play in FPS or even TPS games. Hacking limbs off in chivalry is fun, and yeah it's actually probably more skillbased than shooting, but IMO it also gets repetitive, and quickly.

I disagree. There were numerous times in previous titles where you were climbing in clear view, or you COULD. But the AC games aren't about that - yeah it's stupid and doesn't make sense. But your assassinations are supposed to be public.

I guess it's also assumed, even if it's not shown, that the characters are doing their best to remain hidden or blended.

Given the scope of the game world, I dont think the AC series could function "realistically" - you're supposed to be interacting with people regularly.

A real 'assassin' wouldn't make a very convincing main character for a story driven game. He/she would have to be completely unattached - which is fine if you're making a game thats just about contract killing. But the assassins of the AC universe are characters, constantly interacting with people...

Well, this person never played any of the other AC games it would seen. Public assassinations, hiding in plain sight, using crowds as cover are all hallmarks of the series.

I will say though, that ACIII is certainly not as strong (in any area) as the ACII trilogy was.

I got a very GitS feel from this. Totally agree

I'm sorry you don't feel the same. But, technically it is a movement, and you would be very wrong to say otherwise. Perhaps if you had actually read the article, it would have been very clear that it IS in fact a movement, by independent developers who are looking for alternative avenues of publication.

You are not obligated to share my opinion of course, and I welcome dissent, but please do not make assumptions as to my motives. I simply want to voice my opinion on my...

I hadn't seen that one - I'm in disagreement that its the biggest and best, but it does look promising none the less.

It's rough! I just unlocked the Rock cruiser. It's pretty hefty. I discovered the Engi ship by accident.

Cyberpunk typically has guns though - Warhammer 40k, Shadowrun, Blade Runner - all these Intellectual Properties feature extensive use of futuristic weaponry.

However, I am inclined to agree with you - CDProjekt Red, in my mind, can do no wrong.

I'm inclined to agree.

I feel like a lot of it has to do with branding. nVidia is advertising this as a game console, not a cell phone, which could be subsidized.

Provider companies stipend hardware developers too. This is a venture by nVidia into foreign waters - by the time R&D, testing, planning and all that other junk is done, the additional costs, ASIDE from just the hardware costs are going to be passed onto the consumer.

This is all new software too, don't forget th...

I can agree to a point. However, if

A) Churning out another generic Pokemon product goes sour, Nintendo takes a loss
or
B) Churning out another generic Pokemon product causes their other, newer, and potentially more profitable IPs to suffer, then also Nintendo will take a loss.

And I have heard a LOT of wishes from the Nintendo crowd, overwhelmingly "REMAKE LoZ: OoT!" If they spent a couple thousand doing that, rather than rehashing...
