every app works on the wifi model, just without 3G you cannot use some of them whilst out and about i.e. web browsing
So not only do you have to pay for 3G which can only be used for live updates, browsing web etc. but you also have to use it up within the 30 days? thats absolute stupid. I hope this isn't the case for the UK, to be honest I doubt it will be, since we have never had any plan like that before, ridiculous!

GAME sends all there products for free, you will always get you items by launch day too, having them sent by carrier in this instance is pretty useless.

The games use a proprietary media card designed by Sony, they look very similar to an SD card. Game data, DLC and Update data will be saved to most of the game cards too, which is a briliant idea by Sony!

On top of that i'll be picking up Uncharted and possibly Everybody Golf, and since most of us will be getting the pre order pack ill be using the £5 discount voucher for Escape plan.
Saves are kept on the game card. as for downloading games...4gb will hold about one full game two tops.
Not to mention some games such as Mortal Kombat uses to memory card to store updates, rather than the game card like many other games.

true, racers expected to have full online functionality is not inappropriate, but, it's definitely not a reason not to act stubbornly and decide not to buy it without given it a chance, and who knows if the Modnation racers had sold a good number on PS3 maybe we would have seen online play on the Vita...

yeah but the 3G plans are stupid! I'm not sure if thats how US network providers issue data plans, but if you only have 30 days to use your data before renewing again then thats just a waste of money!
