@kumakai

Here I run into you again, kid, what drivel your posts are. They're not even funny, just sad.

Surprised you didn't compare the new Xbox to the PS1 to show how amazing MS is just like your comment criticising Sony and their handheld consoles by comparing the Vita against the Switch.

And the PS4 is ridiculously better than the OG Xbox which came out 10 years before it. You become a joke when you make such comparisons, kid.

Yeah, no. MS used to be a giant in the tech world but over the years of losses from their OS design, software and their physical tech flopping they have changed as a company.

MS used to be proactive but now they are reactive and that's why they are not a market leader in the gaming scene. PC carries MS because of their decades of proactive practices but over the last decade their strength has declined in this area as they are no longer the innovative company they once w...

@ApocalypseShadow

I get where you're coming from and agree that technology moves on.

However, when you look at the rising costs of gaming per generation and that digitally was marked as a means of saving money but on release cost as much as retail, I think it's fair that people don't want to drag out an older console each time they have an itch to play a game.

Likewise, those who have heavily invested in current-gen online...

Half the issue with open world is the padding, I've yet to play an open world that uses all of its space. Realistically they should just focus on developing small densely packed worlds with genuine activities rather than continuing to making big plains of nothingness with the same repetitive sidequests

@norwood40 it'll probably be the Crackdown 3 game they completely failed to deliver reskinned as Halo

I'm fairly sure they do this with every AC as it explains why they're always buggy as shit

I completely disagree, I still play D2 with on occasion and it's the first online multiplayer game I ever played, I still play with people I met on there almost 20 years ago now.

A lot of hardcore fans were disappointed in the direction D3 took, although it has improved overtime. Minus some of the quest bugs and bots, D2 was and still is a solid game, the main issue in its prime was lag but I would attribute that more to the Internet at the time and considering its been...

I'm fairly sure Ghost will stand out, like every other Suckerpunch game before it.

However, it's weird your pinning your hopes for more inivative gaming on a PS exclusive. I hope the first class studios MS has acquired will be able to build as much expectation in you as Suckerpunch clearly has.

It depends on what's copyrighted. A studio can get around a patent by just changing elements of a design or even the full thing as Sony do not own the character, only the movie licenses.

As Spider-man has many universes, it won't impact it whatsoever as they can just write it like it's an alternative universe Miles. To be fair, Insomniac probably would just do a little reference to it as it did with other things if in someway the characters from one game interac...

Neither is really a game changer as the machines maximum potential is limited to the maximum of its weakest component. I'd say it's at least another generation or two before we see any substantial changes in gaming. The leaps now are not the same as they were years ago and probably won't ever be again.

Both consoles will be good, no doubt about it but in terms of significance, there's really not that much. Consoles usually have significantly outdated compone...

What idiots were expecting 8k 120 fps?

When PCs can do 4k 60 fps consistently and be a reasonable build price then consoles may stand a chance in the future.

I reckon 4k 60 consistent fps is at least another decade away for consoles.

@shaggy

Loading sections normally pause or stutter right or go to a loading screen? None of this happened and the movement was fluid. You're looking for something that isn't even there.

Secondly, this was gameplay on a PS5 so pull your head out of your ass. It wasn't a CG trailer advertised as gameplay and wasn't even in depth gameplay of a next-gen game.

There's games on the PS4 already which has better quality grap...

Do you just copy and paste your own comments multiple types.

Secondly, it's 16% and not 35% for the GPU

This next-gen is so tight it's ridiculous. Realistically most games will run between 30 to 45 fps at 4k and will not hit 60, at least consistently.

Resolution and framerates are on opposite ends of the spectrum and not even PCs with a couple of grand worth of components will comsistantly hit 4k 60 fps so I doubt either console would come close as they need to remain within a 400 to 600 dollar price tag (closer to the 400) to avoid what happened to the PS3.

Shipped equals demand.

They only ship when places want to distribute those consoles, if they were not selling, Sony would not be shipping them as no place would be wanting them, geddit?

I'd say they've sold between 90 and 100 million, more likely closer to the latter

It depends on what they can do on the SSD

Compressing a video with h.265 pretty much halves the space needed to store it than h.264 without a loss in quality

If they develop a way to enable a decent compression when writing to the SSD without a loss in quality, the size of the SSD doesn't really matter.

I'm fairly sure that they'll allow external storage and most people nowadays have an external storage device or two lying a...
