The game is super fun as a multiplayer only game. But these 21 characters are so unique that I want to know more about their back story. A well thought out campaign would have been perfect to flesh out these already interesting characters.
You talk like all that other Destiny content was free. The problem with vanilla Destiny for alot of people was it was barebones. It got alot better with each expansion but you had to pay an additional $80 to get the full experience.
Pay to win? What game are you playing?
Super fun multiplayer game, a solid 9/10 for me.
Why would it? At the end of the day its still coming to the PS4. No need for unnecessary outrage, theres enough of that already.
Nope those articles are not definitive and give no proof. One of them even says created " supposedly" as satire. You and other people's blind hate of this persons opinion does not discount his review. Though I don't agree with it and I am a firm believer that Uncharted 4 is masterpiece, I will not harass or discredit anyone that doesn't agree.
Please stop promoting the misinformation. The review is not satire. Please point me to any evidence, besides the false N4G article, that states it is a satire review. The review itself does not state it being satire and an actual Washington Post Staff member clarified in the comments section that it's a legit review from their Nerd Blog section Comic Riffs.
My personal list goes, Uncharted 4, 2, 3 and 1. But regardless, Naughty Dog has created something special with the Uncharted franchise. It's characters, stories, grahics, gameplay mechanics; you can tell that every single game was a labor of love. And I want to say thank you Naughty Dog for creating such an awe inspiring and all around beautiful experience. Definitely my favorite gaming franchise of all time hands down.
@Callaghan
Did you not read this part of the Washington Post staff member's comment?
"Also, the "other" review you guys keep bringing up is NOT from us. It's from the Associated Press. If I have to explain what the AP is, we'd be here all day. But simply put: It's a news service in which MANY news organizations use to publish various stories, including videogame reviews.
Lastly, Comic Riffs is a blog about geek life...
@remixx116
Nope, its was falsely reported as a satire review by the author of that article. The review is legitimate and comes from the Washington Posts Comic Riff. Confirmed to be legit by a Washington Post editor on the comments section of that review.
This is the quoted text from Gene Park, an editor from the Washington Post: "Posting again to drop some knowledge for y'all:
First of all, I'm with most of you in that I disagree with this ...
@Blastoise
They aren't reviewers, so why are they assigning scores to 1.) Reviews that don't have a numerical score and 2.) A review they did not write?
It is pretty shady of metacritic to do what they did.
@DiscoKid
It's not about the Washington Post review, because they are entitled to their opinion of the game, it's a matter of principal. Metacritic editors sought to put a low score on a negative review of the game (which did not include a numerical score) in an attempt to lower the games metascore. Their intention isn't clear but their shady practice is.
To answer the author of this opinion piece, No it doesnt suck. The multiplayer is fun but definitely has plenty of room for improvement. More modes, the arena/coop modes in previous games and minor gameplay tweaks would make a world of difference.
Yup, review scores are just glorified opinions. They are completely subjective and should never be taken for 100% face value. My Philosophy is, if a game looks interesting to you, give it a shot no matter what anyone else tells you. In the end all that matters is your enjoyment of the game. (Side note: pretty much the same philosophy I use for everything else as well.)
Everything about this game is pure perfection. Uncharted 4 is beautiful, engaging and an exciting game to play through. Naughty Dog and everyone involved are truly amazing.
Been on this since day 1. Just like every other Uncharted game that came before. Tuesday can't come soon enough.
A new Jak and Daxter may do it. But in all honesty anything Naughty Dog does next is gonna be amazing so I'm on board no matter what.
Bloodborne is amazing and it definitely is my favorite new IP this Gen. But, if you are going by Metacritic - Bloodborne: 92 and Uncharted 4: 94.....so I'm pretty sure UC4 does.
When is the last time Battlefield had any worth while characters to make a compelling campaign? The difference is that these characters are genuinely interesting. And if Blizzard made an effort to make a campaign I think they would knock it out of the park.
