Actually it was announced that Microsoft designed the console to remain on all the time. It's dead silent! I've had my XB1 since launch, and it's connected to the Tv in my living room. My XB1 literally has only been powered off for approximately 30 hrs total since launch. Still works flawlessly :-)

Seems like they're not prioritizing anything. Compared to Spencer at Microsoft, they are releasing updates every 3 weeks. Just today, Microsoft announced the July update will be rolling out in a few days to early access users, and everyone else in approximately 2 weeks. IGN article below......

The 24hr check in was due to the SHARING DIGITAL LIBRARY feature Microsoft was implementing into the XB1. You make it sound like they just wanted you to check in 24hrs lol.

I pre ordered this earlier on Amazon, I already have the launch PS4 but I've wanted a white one before launch to match my white Vita1000/pspgo. Anyhow, I'm downloading Destiny digitally on my xbox one, since I have over 150 friends there. I'll more than likely just sell the PS4 Destiny copy for a deal to whoever wants it.
Guess I'll trade in my X360 copy today then :-), I'm definitely picking this up for XB1.
I just checked my email and I was sent my beta key this morning. I'm usually slow when it comes to trying out betas, as I've yet to stream one game in the Playstation now Beta. Probably play Riptide or the Sniper game to give it a try on my PS4.

I have the black deluxe edition Wii U and Day1 XB1. I purchased the black deluxe model because it had the larger memory at the time. I guess I can't win them all lol.

I agree! I like Phil a lot, he even invited me to play Forza with him last week :-). It's awesome what social networking can do to bring together gamers. Hopefully, gamers can unite under ONE umbrella (no pun intended) and enjoy the remainder of this gen on a positive note.
Anyhow, I registered for the Destiny PS4 Alpha preview a few hours ago from my phone, I'll be back from LA by then to enjoy it with friends.

I downloaded it as well, and the update comes in at 4.4 GB... My storage officially went from 23GB available to 18.6GB. Anyhow, send me friend invite in pm...I'll play with you if you like.
It won't bomb since the original developers are involved in making Crackdown Xbox 1. Anyhow, just downloaded the new Dead Rising 3 DLC.....Comes in at 4.4 GB UPDATE
