let me just remind you guys, donating isn't illegal, anyone could have donated to his paypal for any other LEGAL reason. What if for some strange coincidence he found my dog so I donated $300 to him, would that mean I am supporting his hacks? no. If Geohot's lawyer can point something like this out, the donating made by sony is invalid to be used towards this case.

wow, you are very easily miss guided... This is ONLY for PC. PS3 and Xbox hackers are still trying to figure out how to hack this game, they are only saying it's for Xbox and PS3 because they want to sell their aimbot program... This is only for PC!

Modern Warfare 2 was hacked 3 days after it came out, Geohot didn't even touch that game lol, the only thing Geohot did was allow the hacks to become more accessible due to his Custom Firmware, and these "hacks" aren't new, it's really old bro.

hopefully u weren't one of the idiots who disagreed with my first post, but yeah I understand what you mean too, and the eboot exploit, you can do by using 3.41 firmware which geohot was never a part of, and data transferring the 3.41 firmware to a 3.55 firmware via the "Data Transfer Utility" feature on the PS3, without running any malicious code.

Nobody has figured out how to run pirated games, or in this case "back up" games, people are still trying to figure it out. The only way to do this is by using an exploit in the eboot which launches it directly, and you can only do that with 3-10...

Actually... People do get paid to hack a companies service, the company hires hackers to test out their security, if the hackers hack them, they pay the hackers and then patch that exploit. And yes there are professional thiefs who probably where hired to keep banks secured, I doubt it really happens because in real life circumstances are different. And yes there are people who are hired to prevent mass assassinations such as the Secret Service,etc.. no offense...

mw2 was hacked 3 days after release on the PS3 to be exact. Xbox was like 2 days. Most were for singleplayer only though, then we found a way to merge splitscreen stats to online, therefor merging leaderboards and prestiges, giving you the prestige hack and leaderboard hack.
