Completely agree with you.
Bad company didn't have it and it honestly ruined the game a bit for me. Then you are just forced run around in circles trying to hide and crap instead of simply dropping to the ground behind cover and slowly checking suroundings.
if its not an arcade shooter it should have prone.

Ya a lot the guys at my gym play COD, Crysis2, Killzone3, and other MP games online with me. Im almost 24 but they are all 35 plus. They do suck at most shooters but thats just due to play style.
I personally think a lot when playing and try to outsmart my enemy, therefore have a positive k/d ratio in any shooter, i strive for 2:1.

while you didnt have to call them out like that its true, a team full of snipers wont win.All you need is one maybe two tops.
I want prone. Recently all these shooters left it out which makes it a lot harder for me to get into it. I dont prone a lot but sometime I like to dive behind cover or hide from a group of enemies. I dont snipe in any of these recent shooters that leave out prone. I hate being crouched so anybody with an assault rifle can hit me half way across the map because Im so easy to spot.
Its an acquired taste. If you are a fan of previous socoms dont shoot it down to early, it gets better eventually.
Btw Zipper already changed a bunch of things for the final game, let issues be known on forums they are changing a lot of gameplay elements.
game looks great, doesnt look better than Killzone 3 though in single player or multi.
Im on at least rank 15 in both and played both the single players in case you think Im just another jackass basing opinions of youtube videos.
use cloak and move cover to cover, dont sprint too much when cloaked.
Basically the successful players know when to use cloak and armor, thats really what online is about.

I retract my statement somewhat. For 5 its really not bad. Might give it a shot. Then again would it be worth it since socom beta starts in two days for me and then the game is here two weeks later.
I play on the ps3 haven't had one issue yet.
And that's the reason I stopped playing k3 online and moved on to crysis2. The amount of content it offers is pathetic.
lol, ya even though one of these is a fps and the other a tps they always get compared. I am a fan of both and have enjoyed both in the past. Really looking forward to R3 multiplayer to see what they did with it.
When I used to play my favorite gun was the aug. I also used grenades, concussion, and claymores. Also gotta have slight of hand and used the perk that gets you a killstreak earlier. Always tried to stay k/d ratio of at least 2.0 average. Then I watched one game in theater mode and noticed lag and sold it. I just got sick of the game and all the issues persuaded me to switch to killzone and now crysis 2 until socom arrives.
Picked it up last night but haven't had a chance to play yet because I'm stuck at work. Been hearing lots of great things about it and can't wait to try. Then I can judge for myself which game is better this or killzone 3.
I want dungeon keeper 3 so bad, too bad peter m. is stuck on making fable games.

This guy complains a lot, especially about snipers.
Its still a good game but a few gameplay elements needs changing. They are already bringing the camera back a bit by release and including a grenade arc. I still want user created ranked rooms and some game types from previous games such as breach, demolition, escort, and extraction. Even if that's only for classic since I can't see it being used in respawn. Plus there is only 9 maps including abandoned. They should give us like 3 more so we get 12. I'm sick of shooters nowadays c...
