Are we defending our original console makers? That's kind of hard seeing as Atari is long gone.
@US8F
They kinda forced Sixasis a bit (Lair) before they released DualShock 3.
Exactly. It's nice to be able to look back at the PS3 and see how Sony was able to turn it around. For the sake of competition, it would be nice if they could turn it around as well.
Things are better when both consoles are strong.
Xbox/Nintendo fan checking in to the comment love.
This thing feels absolutely amazing. You guys are going to love this controller.
Since XI? No wonder why I, the author, missed it.
I've only played 1-6.
I see what you did here...
Agreed. Unless someone can find a way to make the journey better than the goal, then the joy of getting a +5 stam +2 strength belt is over.
Basically this. It's great 360/PS3 owners can play it.
It's dumb that a fished game is shelved for several months.
It makes his crying out like a whiny runt at the end of Episode III much more understandable.
He's right. You can't compete with free. And if people are playing something they love without a dent on their wallet, we've seen they're more likely to pay a skin or two. Or ten.
The digital age takes some more victims.
In a way, it is survival of the fittest. Those that have adapted to both offering their magazine in a digital format, as well as giving enough unique content to worth subscribing, are still around.
Agreed 100%. The first week on PC was pretty much a mess. As was with RAGE. It's a shame that the developers who gained their fame on the PC are shunning it.
But if the focus on Big Picture is using a controller over a mouse and keyboard, that turns me off a bit.
They key is that it's a living room PC. It sounds like they just want to make their console a "budget PC" without skimping too much on the horsepower.
Where the hell is Sheena from Tales of Symphonia? I won't lie, I jacked it to her.
Nothing Valve could do would meet the hype.
I just prefer the evil tyrant Stewie over the flaming homosexual Stewie.
I remember. This one time. This show used to be funny.
AMIRITE?
This. Developers don't have the luxury of going "let's add in this great idea right meow" when developing a games that need to meet strict deadlines. The processes of developing a video game are absolute hell. Deadlines are great for getting the product done, but they have to be met, and they don't go away.
If you don't like horse armor, don't buy it. It's a micro-transaction, yes. But those League of Legends skins people buy nonstop? Also m...
@darthv72
Forced? Perhaps, but it was an absolutely brilliant move by Sony.
Microsoft could have easily supported HD-DVD natively, but their decision not to may have cost the format.
Sony could boast the fact that every PS3 owner was also a Blu-ray owner, helping the format's sales. It's the same gambit Microsoft is trying with Kinect: every Xbox One owner is also a Kinect owner.
