Everyone has access to the exact same loadouts, so it's completely balanced. Only elites have slightly different loadouts than spartans, but this is done on purpose because during competetive games it is only spartans vs spartans or elites vs elites. Invasion certainly isn't meant to be balanced so much as it's meant to be fun and fit in the campaign.
I def agree that guns feel a little weak. I sort of think bungie wanted Master chief to seem a lot more powerful...
Since in the game you basically role play noble-6, as in, you ARE noble six, noble six is YOU, I expect this will sort of be going through the training noble 6 (and all spartans) go through, to better get in the role.

MC, as with all spartans, is a genetically enhanced human wearing a powered suit of armor. He is 100% flesh and bone. The suit can be removed and you see a full human.
Look fun which is the ultimate for me, but graphics don't look quite there. Halo 3 was nice to look at generally but lacking. This looks like they extended the best graphics of halo 3 (master chiefs model, for example) to most of the environment, but it's not quite what I hope it will be.

I can only hope "but there will be other things that will make them absolutely delighted." doesn't mean they'll include something stupid like spartan-IIIs doing the "spartan smile" or anything else that die hard fans would hate seeing anyone but the S-IIs do.
Still, I'm happy to see that it's built around the book. I can only hope that means cameos and maybe even entire cutscenes dedicated to what red team is doing too.

i7's have 8 "cores". Since games that use, say, 4 cores, use four "cores" on an i7, I think it's safe to say that an i7 will been seen as 8 cores.
To this day I still wish H3 was closer to as epic as its trailers were. I was envisioning an apocalyptic battle of massive scale as seen in the believe ad...sigh. There's always halo reach but the main story, the important one that deals with saving the universe...is done.
I'm sure it will detail more than just THE battle of reach. It might go as far back as when the spartans were brand new 6 year olds since they they all grew up an trained on reach, reach was their home. And it can go about as far as when MC rescued them after getting off halo.
Point being, MC and ALL the spartans were on reach more than any other planet ever. If you look only at the battle of reach sure MC wasn't there long, but this game isn't called "the battle of reach...
Spartan armor is fit to its user, it's not all the same size. Thus a female spartan armor will look a little more woman shaped than a male. Not entirely since apparently it's still a little hard to tell male from female,but enough.
2 of master chiefs closest friends are female, Linda and Kelly.
This all but confirmed that MC's squad is the focus of this game. You will probably play as MC, but his closest spartans are with him.
And since they'll be clad in spartan armor most of the time, I doubt they'll be over sexuallized. If you read the books, they're just like any other spartan, sex has almost no bearing on how they're treated. Linda is the best sniper by far, Kelly is the fastest by far,...
I can only hope this is the halo I've always wished halo was. I know for sure it has the best story of any halo game.
The book and the game follow two different units on reach.
Both the game and the relevant sections of the book happen more or less simultaneously, but they are in different spots on the planet, or so we think.
So while a cameo would make sense and would be nice, MC is in no way connected to noble team (or so we think) so it is hardly a guarantee.
