Reading that review, IGN could have used a lot of the points in it for the Mass Effect 3 review. By that reviews standards, Mass Effect is about a 4 or 5 on IGN.
Except BioWare and EA have given IGN huge ad buys and generates a lot of money for IGN.
I kind of went through the NG3 review, and a lot about it sounds like what should have been the Mass Effect 3 review. IGN has been giving any AAA game, especially franchise games, with marketing a 9 or 9.5 for quite a while.
If there is a big game coming out, seems like they have to love it.
I guess I got a shitty copy with Jessica Chobot, Freddie Prinze Jr and the dumbest ending in trilogy history. My bad.
Score was too generous imo.
I actually enjoyed the music. I have no idea about the rest, I forget.
Yeah, BioWare these consumers.
Meow.
The game itself was complete shit.
Seems like you are analyzing Sesame Street. The ending is to get gamers wanting a different ending COUGH DLC.
Are you menstrual?
I had a problem with 99% of the game, the ending wasn't part of that. I was just glad it was done at that point.
Seems like it may be a backlash against Capcom. I haven't been the biggest fan of the game pre-release, but any reviewer can't really put up an honest review without playing the main meat of the game. Which is the multiplayer stuff.
1. Mass Effect 3
Sarcasm/10.
Everyone is pointing at Halo 4. Halo is old, a new developer who is taking over what has become a yearly franchise, etc. It will be well received by critics, it is a AAA franchise game!, and sell well enough... but it just doesn't have the juice it used to. There are X amount of Halo fanboys, catering an entire E3 to them after the amazingly bad E3 last year for MS makes no sense.
They will do pre-rendered gameplay give some general specs saying it is (?) times more power...
*insert comment asserting anyone who finds BioWare's obsession with gimmicks like these that are never explained or done well are homophobic instead of just stating they are not well done and seem amazingly out of place
The Wii U is Nintendo's foray into the current generation. How can you look at a console about as powerful as the 360 as next gen?
That being said, Nintendo is doing their own thing. Which is why you play Mario and Zelda titles, not BioShock and Uncharted titles.
"Plenty of content cut", I take it to mean "shelved for DLC".
You feel sorry for the developer that has consistently over the past couple years made poor decisions on everything from DLC, franchise progression, turning RPG's into shooters and action games, silly gimmicks involving things like Jessica Chobot as voice actors to ensure game site love, the use of homosexuality and bisexuality in games only as a means to get publicity and no explanation as to the relationships or lack thereof, the amazing technical issues on AAA games, a game ending that...
Awesome stuff, this is what gaming is all about.
I rented it from Gamefly and I have been trying to get two dollars from BioWare.
