I pity you.
What surprises me, though, is that Metacritic DOES.
But this IS oxcgn, so...
They already specifically stated that all of the current features would stay free if they were to introduce a premium package.
Besides, the opposite of what Pachter claims seems to happen about 50% of the time....is Sony gonna start paying US to have more online stuff?! LOL
"they started by announcing PlayStation Move support along with PS3 exclusive content"
Nice.
If TS3 ends up being fun platforming action like TS2 was (with some improvements of course), then I will share your enthusiasm.
From PS Blog:
"In Story Mode, the player plays as Buzz, Woody, and Jessie, each with their own unique play style, to play through eight action platforming levels"
They had better be BIG levels.
That line made me LOL. If nothing else, I'll have to at least rent this game or watch the bargain bins.
Unless it ends up being more exceptional than I think it will be. But I doubt it.
"Then buy the game and
See for your self"
Why would he spend $60+ to see if a game is good? Maybe rent, but not buy.
You have to do at least SOME research before buying a game (Such as reading reviews). $60 is a pretty significant amount.
"when i read it, i was hoping that it WAS an absolute price cut"
Me too.
I hope they make it meaningful. Like an assassination race.....that could sweet.
Change the title to avoid confusion.
Don't worry, I'm sure they'll have a spectacular concept video at E3 and plenty of "journalists" with full wallets from the natal screening to let us know how awesome it is.
Activision and Bungie: A combination that could create the ultimate DLC rip off(s).
They're both known for selling maps and making restrictions for those who don't buy them (Halo: Big Team Battle locked off if you don't buy certain DLC, COD: screws with matchmaking, kicks you if you don't have maps (At least in COD4)). Not to mention, all of the "sequels" they've both made. Put the two together, and they'll certainly be happily causing wallets to implode.
...
Bungie can't even manage to optimize a game on the "easier" to develop for platform for native 720p or AA.
So will they be able to surpass GOW3 with a multiplatform game? No.
Either they don't have the talent or they're too lazy to optimize their games/engines.
Developers/Publishers that spend more time and money on marketing than the creation of the game (Eg Activision, Bungie, EA, with Call of Duty, Halo, Madden, etc) are the 360's best friend. Pump out an under-optimized game that's basically an extension of the last installment, market it until kids program their brains to take it up like crack, collect fees, repeat.
Microsoft never thinks past a couple months in the future. Lucky for them, neither does their narrow-minded customers.
Woah there, Cowboy! Let's try catching up to this cycle, first.
Try starting with optimizing your games in native HD.
Halo is switching over to the Unreal engine?! Maybe it'll have half a chance to play in 720p.
Get it? Steroids? Unreal Engine?
Yeaaaa.
They can't even get their games in 720p native on the 360, I can't imagine what technical-screwed games they push on the Ps3.
Besides, if they're just going to pull more DLC BS (Like making modes on original game restricted to new DLC maps) - and with Activision leading the charge, you can bet your pants they will - I'm not interested anyhow.
That's my main issue with Bungie.
That and "What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? 2"
Woot.
