If it can be proven that there was no underlying problem, and it was due to the update, they deserve to get something out of this.
Being a forced update (if you wanted access to PSN etc), they shouldn't be held accountable for the failure.
With that said, I personally feel this will not really get anywhere.

I have a PS3, and i am a fan of it (or else i wouldn't have purchased one), hence my comment about generalization.

yeah, they are milking it. But every game has something new to offer (mainly weapons). Combine that with a game that has a sense of humor, good dialogue, well, you get a great game.

I see Blutooth... Wondering if it will expand on the inter connectivity the current PSP has with the PS3... I can see it being used as a controller, but i would much rather use a DS3. would have been cool if they could fit a camera in the "o" from Sony's logo.
I wouldn't mind picking it up, but i have a number of games on UMD, so replacing my library with downloads is not the best solution.

Regardless, I'm sure you would need a new player and based on the DVD tech today, you going to need a lot of patience finding a 2mb file on a 4TB disk. It'll take you all day.

Your point? you can replace the word "PC" with PS2 and or PSP and that would make much more sense. Considering, in your own words, there a millions of PS2's out there. he could end up selling some additional PS2's and the game... like you said... more money for sony.
