There's no mystery as to how the kid makes up his fake sales numbers at vgchartz.
Take the latest official numbers and add on the average weekly sales since then.
For Sony consoles now take that number and make it smaller by an amount that he believes is just barely believable.
For Microsoft consoles he does the opposite.

With Sony giving real sales numbers two straight months apart he unable to make up PS4 numbers any lower than this. Otherwise he would have...
What's so funny about anyone dumb enough to go to vgchartz is that you pretty much can do the same fake sales numbers on your own.
Take the most recent official numbers and add the average sales rate the console has been generating recently and there you have it.
Although obviously the guy at vgchartz then takes the Playstation numbers and lowballs them and inflates the Xbox numbers he made up.

Yes, even the absolute best case for Microsoft is getting killed in two out of the three major console markets - Japan and Europe. At best Microsoft might see some better sales in the US. But that would only less how badly they are losing to Sony.
Even a pick up in the US market seems unlik...

How many times is this dumb story going to keep getting posted here? There is no price cut on the PS4. It's always been this price.
Products that are completely sold out or sell out new stock immediately don't get price cuts.

That is most hilarious part of this whole desperate attempt by Microsoft. They are frantically trying to hype a game that you have to 500 dollars + the game price to play a graphically downgraded and low rez version of something you could just play on your home PC.
This is the hilariously lame stuff you end up doing when you have a tiny and crappy first party developer lineup...

Microsoft has so much money to blow on the console market they are selling a console with such cheap and weak graphics hardware that it can't run next gen graphics for 500 dollars - 100 dollars more than Sony's massively more powerful PS4.
A huge change from the PS3 days where the entire US media was desperately trying to manufacture a victory for Microsoft. And despite that massive garbage thrown at Sony last gen, the PS3 still managed to outsell the 360 every single year worldwide despite costing 200 dollars more. And the 360 ended up in last place.
No Sony isn't.
The game has turned out to be a PR disaster for Microsoft that has done nothing but to make just how absurdly weak the Xbox One graphics hardware is compared to the PS4.
It would be a humiliation for Microsoft if the PS4 got a graphically upgraded version of a game that has so much desperate hype and money thrown at it as some sort of miracle game that will magically save the Xbox One.

The actual PS4 sales must be close to 6 million worldwide by now. 4.2 million by the end of 2013. And Sony is reported to be manufacturing 1.4 million a month. It has been six weeks since the end of 2013 - so that means Sony has managed to make another 2.1 mil...
Actual sales of the Xbox One are around 3 million. With no sales coming from Japan. And the Xbox One is pretty much dead outside of the UK in Europe.
Reaching 6 million in the first year for the Xbox One is not going to happen unless there is a dramatic surge in US sales.
