Really? Do you have source stating it's natively running in 1080p? I don't recall this being one of the PS3 games running natively in 1080p, but of course I could be wrong. I'd be interested to see a source on that though as I thought it just supported 1080p (kinda like all 360 games support 1080p but few actually run natively in it).
How old are you? You seem not to really know why the Saturn failed. It had nothing to do with "talentless hacks", but rather with the management at the company (32x...Sega CD...why did they do this!?).
There was also the issue of an extremely complicated hardware architecture (from what I remember, I believe they had two GPUs essentially...someone correct me if I'm off on that though) that very few developers wanted to work with (man...why does this sound so familiar?...
You're correct, it's probably due to the extra development time. However, I do believe the better looking version of Oblivion on the PS3 is probably partly due to more development time as well.
And as an aside (just because you mentioned it), I was under the impression that Fight Night 3 was NOT one of those games that looked better on the PS3. I seem to remember a comparison video when the PS3 version came out comparing the two and the conclusion reached was that the 360 versi...
Ok, this post is complete crap and isn't news...but I saw what you wrote and thought I'd comment on what you said.
Watch 1080i on a 1080p TV, and I guarantee you you would not be able to tell a difference. You should also know that if you're watching this from a 720p tv (which the far majority of users are), no matter what the signal is, it will be processed by the TV to display at 720p. There is always going to be some processing being done.

In particular, Sony PR BS seems to be the predominate BS here. While there is BS from Wii/360 fanboys too, the sheer amount of BS is definitely in favor of the Sony fanatics here (or it seems to be to me). This is one of the few places on the internet that I can think of that is completely overrun by Sony fanboys that I've come accross. It's so odd (at least to me)...are Sony fans just more fanatical than other fans? Am I generalizing ...
The truth that the you fell for Sony's lies hurts too? Especially now that it has a lackluster game lineup with very few great games...although it has a few good games, it's painfully obvious that Sony's first priority is definitely not gaming.
Granted all the console producers have spouted their fair share of PR BS this generation, but it's pretty obvious to any objective observer that Sony definitely "takes the cake" this generation for pure stupidity and poor impl...
Too bad it doesn't matter that much, as it appears that the 360 outsold the PS3 in NA by over 100,000 systems.
Still, it's good to see the PS3 on the way up for once. Competition is only good for the industry, and having Sony down in the dumps doesn't really do much to challenge MS directly (as the Wii is kinda targeted at another audience (with most of their games, not all)).

Human AI sucks ass, But the Alien AI is very very good (on the two hardest levels...normal is not considered a challenge for anyone that has played a FPS before (Bungie said this actually)). I get the feeling they intentionally made the human AI awful to make the game more challenging...just conjecture since it's obvious they had the ability to make the humans smart (obvious from smart enemies) and probably made a design choice to make the human AI not as strong.

You really have no idea what you're talking about do you...Have you seen the PS3 sales the past two months? In July, when they dropped the price, the PS3 still didn't outsell the 360. Then in August after the 360 dropped it's price, it outsold the PS3 around 2:1. So, I'm not sure what "facts" you're basing your claims on, but they don't seem to be grounded in any real-world sense.

Same maps? There's only one map that was re-done: Zanzibar. I would have agreed with you if your facts were actually accurate. Are you playing the game on an HDTV? Do you honestly think outside of the fact that it's a Halo game that it is that similar to Halo 2? They've added more than "a few gimmicks." Have you messed around with Forge yet? Done any saved films? I won't say they changed a whole of the gameplay (if it's not broken, why try to fix it?), they went back to many things ...
I think it's most intelligent for most people to wait it out. You might miss out on the HD movies for a bit, but at least when you get in, you'll know there's no risk of being burned.
If you must have HD movies, and money is no object; buy both HD and BD to get the best of both worlds. But I think for the average person who doesn't have a lot of disposable income, upscaled DVD's looked very good in the meantime.
