I don't understand why they didn't have PS2 emulation on the PS4. PC's could do it and they run at a crazy resolution with widescreen support. A lot of the HD remakes don't even compare with PS2 emulation.
I'd say both have done the correct thing last gen. MS has money to spend so they bought excusives and alot of games you thought was a sony exclusive became a multiplat last gen. If sony kept those exclusives then it would have been a repeat of PS2 era.
Sony decided to invest in their own studios and was able to release a bunch of games for the PS3. However, they should have invested more on the last guardian.
I disagree, well I agree with people just wanting to play the game at the moment. But if it was released on the old engine then a few people may be disappointed because it may have looked too similar to the original.
GTA did come out on Xbox, but really late in the cycle.

GTAIV sales on 360 were impressive and I think was higher than PS3's. Which means it was a good enough investment there.
GTAIV sold 10 mil on the 360, if Sony had been agressive and locked GTAIV as a PS3 exclusive then they probably would have attracted 10 million 360 owners to buy a ps3. Sony did screw up on keeping exclusives last gen.
hardly ever played gears, but saying that i hardly ever had any games on it.
But I agree with the first being the better gears, lacked a decent SP, but the smaller maps and limited amount of players on MP was what made it more fun.
I think MS definitely invested on the correct things last generation. Gears, GTA DLC, COD DLC, Japanese Devs & Kinect.
Not really sure what else they have invested in, but gears was one of the biggest franchises of last gen. Kinect was an interesting concept but only game i enjoyed was raving rabbids. However, according to vgchartz, kinect adventures sold 20mil, which means that out of 4 360 owners, 1 of those would have a kinect.
I was thinking of purchasing this well not straight away but maybe on sale. But I think I just give it a miss.

With beta and alpha, its definitely not going to be running smoothly.
It's not really early access that is ruining games, its jsut the developers or publishers trying to get as much money from buyers as possible.
Also the very buggy early access games are probably like that because of the developers and not because of early access. Look at BF4 for...
true, im kinda colour blind, but even i can see how over satuated some colours are.
I also think people should start calling it AMOLED instead of OLED, since there are only a few OLED devices out there.
However, I heard the LCD screen is of poor quality. I am probably going to wait until the next edition if i want to upgrade.

but what ms needs to concentrate on is making better dev tools to make xbone run more efficient. clearly the xbone is alot more powerful than what we are seeing and if devs can have better tools then we probably see that sooner.
i think the main problem is kaz wants to make something realistic, whilst most gamers don't really care for that.

another problem is that they are trying to have more and more cars compared to the last game where they should have just released a game with less.

i did say kinda right compared to 3ds and tablets, but you are right that it did look more expensive when compared to the 3ds dropped price.
hopefully with the price that the vita is on now, the sales could improve and more exclusives would be released for the system.

ps vita needs support from the bigger third party studios. probably need to lock down some exclusives. ratchet and clank exclusives would be nice. psp had plenty i think.
