I would like to personally inform everybody commenting here that the patch was ready (and as far as we could see, 100% bug free) last week but it failed peer review (potentially sabotage by a competing developer) so it got delayed and since then the changes made have led to the discovery of additional problems. The patch (including many new blocks and performance enhancements) can be expected hopefully in the next few days.
"why would would anyone want to spend hours with a bad-graphics-game building stuff?"
Ever heard of some things that people have like creativity, imagination, and fun?
Agreed. I think Microsoft should not have tried to milk the shit out of it and let Bungie release it as an expansion/DLC like they wanted to.
I was smart enough to not buy the game so no, I will not be buying the overpriced DLC for the crappy game I did not buy.
Thanks, it appears my "shoop" spread around the web quite quickly.
The last one sucked in my opinion. The first one was good though.
Finally, somebody that knows what they are talking about.
Easy solution, make it as secure as you possibly can and continue to make it more secure as you acquire more knowledge of security.
Xbox Live has been out for 9 years and has never had the same problem PSN has.
"Sony’s taken the time to rebuild their network to make it more secure than ever and just overall working very hard to make sure everything’s the way it should be."
Should have been secure in the first place.
On and off at the *absolute worst* for 12 days (from my personal experience it was 2 days on and off) and even then it wasn't worldwide. Also, the XBL problems were because of excess traffic, not a breach of security.
...leaving a gaping hole in their security.
Yeah I can't wait for GRID 2.
Only disagreed because I care what people buy if it means that it allows a big company to get through several iterations of a series with no innovation or improvements.

"The Xbox Live downtime varied per person. Not every single person on XBL was down for 2 weeks."
To all the people disagreeing, the Xbox Live downtime varied per person. Not every single person on XBL was down for 2 weeks.
"For nearly 2 weeks the Xbox Live outage raged on..."
Sorry 2 weeks? As I recall it was down for me for about 2 days maximum.
I do agree that he is a poor choice of a PR person but that should not stop people from appreciating the game that DjArcas has put a lot of hard work into. Nor should it encourage people to delay the needed patch further.
Halo Wars was developed by Ensemble Studios and published by Microsoft. Bungie had a little bit of a hand in the development. 343 was not involved in the production of Halo Wars although they are now taking control of it as Ensemble shut down.
