Sony established a brand called Playstation that has delivered on bringing great games before, and following their track record I don't see as to why it would be any different, Also note that the PS2 also had a slow start.

Don't bring political bullshit into the success of this game. In no way when i have played have I gone "whoo score one for the US take that russians and middle easterns". No one should be proud because they think their making a difference by playing a video game. People play Call of Duty 4 because it's a great game, not because they think they can experience what the war is like, or at least I sure as hell don't.

I never even had high hopes for the game, it always looked average to me and I never thought it was anything special, I think the only reason we hear about it so much is because of Jeff Gerstmanns firing, if anyone told me they were so excited for Kane and Lynch I'd be a hella suprised...
I would never compare the sales of a console to a handheld, would you compare the sales of the N64 to the Game Boy Color, would you even think of them as direct competition, nope. Also if my memories serves me right the PS2 was around $300ish when it first came out because thats how much mine was, and the originial DS was $100 so we can all see the $200 difference but i may be wrong I'm not sure if the DS Lite is $100 or not but my point is that Consoles and handhelds are like apples and oran...

Well I don't have a Wii but that looked awesome, Nintendo should really hire that guy it would make a good peripheral if they add it in with a game thats really made for it. Hope that guy gets a job.
