Some of the best main characters are female . Terra for example from FF6. Publishers say its going to make less money to put a female in the main character slot but I am starting to believe that is only the case when they gimp the marketing budgets.

Possibly but that all depends on whether or not we see massive PS3 / 360 price drops this holiday season.. which may be hard to pull off since the prices are already pretty low.

Definitely expected something like this. The BioShock series has always been pretty well received and provides a lot of fun factor. The return of the original team working on this instead of what happened with BioShock 2 is pretty good too.
It's good to get everybody's viewpoint on this. The revival of Lara is pretty controversial as always when it comes to a fan-loved game receiving a new title after a long period of being a dormant IP. Personally I think it seems most people are happy so if majority truly rules we should probably consider it fairly successful. It's pretty balsy that they even released a teaser for two more titles at the end, but more power to them and that is a great way to advertise for free.

Gears of War 3 was released September 20, 2011 exclusively for Xbox 360 and has not released on any system prior. so... no.

I used to feel any game can get multiplayer if done correctly. I still think that, but I also never wanted to see every single player experience go multiplayer. I wonder how Final Fantasy will approach their next installments bearing this in mind.
This seems like a really logical and likely step to me. I just hope they don't reduce the size of players on the console versions again like on PS3/360 because running around in huge maps that were built for 32 when we had been restricted to less than that just wasn't fair in Bad Company 2. As long as they populate the maps and they are big enough to fit this many people, it should be very enjoyable

description is pretty much dead on. consoles will be a bit better than average broke guy's PC until waddayakno some crazy good tech comes cheaper and the PC is beyond the consoles. if you are really picky and technical like some PC gaming elitists, you could even say the consoles never innovated anything in the first place but i prefer to see both as necessary and fun as hell.
