WCCF seems to have a bad name - judging by some of the forums. I wouldn't be surprised if this is just an attention grabbing scheme and a pretty bad one a that. Have a look at what some are posting about them:

Have really high hopes for this game as I am a massive Alien fan - saw the original film when it first came out...yes I am that old. If they can make it where you can barricade doors and hide in ventilation shafts trying to get away from this thing....awesome.
They keep trying with these articles don't they!..like if they keep talking about it may just come true. I've been a gamer for 20+ years and have seen a lot of systems and gimmicks and consoles have remained a constant in the gaming industry. Consoles and PCs will always be for the hardcore gamer. Smart phones just don't cut it.
I remember Colonial Marines had gorgeous visuals as well...and look where that ended up. I will wait for offical reviews before getting this title.

Take those Amazon reviews with a pinch of salt. My PS4 (made in China) works like a dream and I have had no issues whatsoever. Playing KZSF which is great by the way.
Yes well said. Sick and tired of people constantly looking for someone else to blame for their own shortcomings. At the end of the day, you are the parent.
I got mine from JB HIFI (Australia) - they are on their third shipment which won't be available until next year. The system is selling a great deal better than what the PS3 did.
I am sick of these comparisons - consoles and PCs are worlds apart and lets leave it at that.

Good article. In relation to the problems experienced with malfunctioning units - we must remember that in the good old days before social media, none of these gripes really made it out to broader community, let alone internationally.
Malfunctioning units are expected and I feel sorry for the people who have to go through the process of getting things right; however, I feel that the problems with the PS4 are relatively minimal when looking at how many units were sold - it ...

We are aware of the PS4 issue with codes and we are working to come up with a solution, together with Gamestop and Sony, at this very moment.
