FFX was pretty similar in terms of linearity and it's my favourite in the series.

Me too. Apple always boast "1Bn" downloads (or is it 2Bn now?). I know they're probably well into the 10 millions of sales but I'd like an exact number because how many of those billion downloads are free apps? Probably over 90%.
I've always wanted this too. It's probably impossible with todays technology. Well, I want it on a hundred-thousand to a million scale. Probably can't be done.
The 360 requires a large amount of power, so I can't imagine the battery that would be needed to keep the thing on for longer than an hour.

Anyway, thing I liked most about this article was it's plug of Penumbra. It really is a refreshing gaming experience. It never holds you by the hand and it's by an independent developer. Scary as hell too.
