It doesn't make you a fanboy to see that this is detrimental to the industry, it makes you a fanboy if you think "yes!, now only microsoft can use this feature!"
Edit: Sorry, thought you were telling everybody to stay out of it :)
Then why can microsoft now decide to patent it?
I think this is offline only btw, so it won't affect any online drop-in drop out co-op.
Edit: To the disagrees, what are you disagreeing with? It sounds like it is offline, read this
"screen is split to present a viewing panel for the new player that depicts scenes from the perspective of the new squad member. When an existing player leaves the game, the screen is unsplit to remove the viewing panel fo...
In Japan it will be out this year.
The 360 doesn't have sixaxis, so lbp, lair etc are out. Mgs4 and lair are near 50 GBs and the other games there are over dvd size, I suppose you could compress them though and have a worse(but playable) game.
It doesn't harm anyone and they aren't making profit from it...
I'm not that much of a pc man but I liked left 4 dead, so yeah f*ck valve then =P
Left 4 dead was brilliant though, did the fans come up with it?
I'd prefer if this one won
Heard of a small game called final fantasy 13?
I wanted a co-op game and I have besides both resistances and LBP, which I wasn't in the mood for, i couldn't think of one. The race for online and for great graphics has stopped offline co-op in games completely and I think that is the one great casualty that came from the transition from ps2 to ps3, it became to pc/xbox-like.
"Xbox 360 is the only console gaming system that has a timer feature allowing parents to set time limits for their kids, as well as parent controls to enable parents to set limits on what their kids are playing and watching."
The ps3 has parental controls(set what level you want them to play, if the game/movie is above it it won't play), but no timer, so the sentence is true but it makes you believe that only the 360 has parental controls.
There are less than 8 million, not 10 million. The real reason it isn't selling as much is marketing. Every year or so Microsoft releases a game and hypes it to fuk as the next big thing, and the 360 owners get a mentality where they all have to own the game day one. I don't know how they do it but it only happens with microsoft exclusive games.
But I would add that even if a title does have legs it still sells faster early on, so it will take a long time for it to do well.
If it is good ps3 news, ps3 fanboys approve it. If it is good 360 news, 360 fanboys approve it. The source doesn't matter. A one sentence pm from someone in the games business is no exception.
The ps3 had both available, and to most people who had a choice they chose infamous. The 360 only had prototype. On ps3, infamous + prototype sales are more than 360 prototype sales. But I don't give a fucc either way, people will still argue.
I have the psp 1000 so it will be a huge size and weight drop as well as bluetooth I can use for my headphones. Crisis core was great now I'll wait for dissidia :)
Including my self I know 6 people with infamous and 0 with prototype... then again I don't live in America.
Better lie low til this blows over
I only have a ps3 and a wii but I know the 360 is really fun too, since a few of my friends have one. I'm thinking about getting one since I want to play left 4 dead with them instead of on the pc, and because it has a lot of games I would like(fable star ocean etc) but I do think the ps3 offers more overall and would prefer it to conquer the playground
Since when do playgrounds have kings lol, it's a funny thought I'd love to see a 10 year old issue orders to take over a differe...
Why are people ignoring that this patent sounds like it describes offline co-op?
